Re: Laying on the Hearth Rug - OOC

Can someone please clarify for me which cats are currently intending to go to the source of the river & which to the tree?

(I'm not sure where Miss Cuddles is heading at the moment ...)

Re: Laying on the Hearth Rug - OOC

I believe it currently stands as:

Find the spring: Bones and Mephistopheles.
Find the tree: Milk Whiskers, Mister Pig, P-P and Sunny.
Undecided: Miss Cuddles and Tickles.

Re: Laying on the Hearth Rug - OOC

Okay, I finally realised that the way I was handling the group splitting up was causing problems, so I dropped that idea.

I've created two separate threads, each in its own Group, which is not the way I would have preferred to do it, but my experimental approach was causing confusion for a few people.

Re: Laying on the Hearth Rug - OOC

Okay... slight disaster.  Been off work sick all week... got tested, and it turns out I've got me a slight case of the covids.  Doesn't seem like more than a particularly heavy cold for the moment, but I'm following the doctor's advice - staying home, resting, and drinking plenty of tea.  Probably too much tea.

Also fielding questions from the boss at work, who keeps ringing up to check that I'm taking it easy.  I'm one of three people at work who caught it, all at the same time.  So I'm glad I'm off - sounds all-together too stressful at work just now, with three out of the four most experienced staff off sick, leaving just one in work, with three part-time teenage temps.

Posting... may be a tad sporadic for a little while, but doing what I can.  Take care, my friends.

Re: Laying on the Hearth Rug - OOC

Hmm. Is there any way to do a reverse Dream Bite - mark a human in the dream, to make it possible to find him in the waking world?

In reply to Milk-Whiskers (msg # 51):

I'd say so.  Just work it as a regular Dream Bite and specify that you're doing the reversed version.

One caveat.  It's harder to move around outside the Dream.  Joey, for example, has said that he lives in The City, which is a few miles away from the town where the cats live.  In the Dram, the cats could fly that distance easily.  In the waking world, it would be a long walk on short legs.

And The City is big.  Why, it even has a hospital, with a helicopter (whatever that is).

Re: Laying on the Hearth Rug - OOC

Posting this in all of my games.

Due to a recent, and sudden, change in circumstances, I'm afraid that I am unable to continue GMing games for the time being.  As a result of this, all of my games are closing, with immediate effect.

While I may return to GMing in the future, I can not guarantee that I will pick up any of my current games again.

Apologies to all of my players, it has been a pleasure gaming with you all.

In reply to Narrator (msg # 54):

I'm sorry to hear that! It's been a joy playing this game--I've regaled the players in my own Wednesday night game over Discord with the events of this game several times.

I hope you are able to return to GMing, and if you do, I hope I get the chance to play in one of your games again. Thanks for a wild ride!

Re: Laying on the Hearth Rug - OOC

I've completely enjoyed this game.  It is such a change from what I normally play, but absolutely fabulous!

Take care of yourself and, hopefully, we'll see you back around here in the not-too-distant future.

Re: Laying on the Hearth Rug - OOC

Ahhh, understood. I will reiterate everyone's comments about this game being an absolute blast. I am also in love with the system. Simple, functional, and leaves plenty of room for imagination.

I do so hope to play in one of your games again, sir.
