Heads up for all my games:

I have quite a bit of business travel and/or vacation over the next month or so and may posting schedule might get a bit squirrely. I should have internet access through most of it, but just as a fair warning.

My first trip starts tomorrow and I will be out of town until March 3rd. Back for a week, and then on the road again Mar 16-20th, back in town over the weekend, and then on the road again March 19-23. Then on vacation April 2nd to 16th, some of that spent in the great outdoors likely without reliable net access.

Welcome back!  Glad to see you made it safely back.

I love my sons but they are giving me fits right now.  The younger had a bad week last week and I'm heading out the door now to drive three and a half hours one way to pick up my older.  He went to the university med clinic last Friday and they gave him a steroid shot and antibiotics but did not check him for flu or strep.  He's worse so I'm going to get him and get him to the doctor here at home.  I will likely be unable to get online until tomorrow or Wednesday and apologize for not being able to do more right now.  :(

Ugh ... so the older definitely has the flu and likely had strep thought he antibiotic is helping him through that.  Unfortunately since the university clinic didn't test him and didn't prescribe Tamiflu, he's too far past the point anything will be helpful so we're just riding out the storm.  He's sleeping a lot but I'm making sure he's getting plenty of fluids.  Since I hadn't gotten a flu shot, the pediatrician told me to go get one yesterday ... so I did.  Hopefully it will help before I start having symptoms.  They always share, my sweet boys.  *sarcasm*  :P

Strep throat and the flu sounds like a tough combination. Good luck on nursing your elder son through it -- and hopefully you and your youngest will stay healthy.
