Hey !
When do you plan to start ? From what I can see, you were Janna's player, right ? She was a cool girl. :)

Yes that was my character.

I am doing some research and putting together a scenario. In the mean time you can get things completed on your end.

The game will take place in 1936, this first scenario may be a bit earlier, but s this is a pulp game not going to get caught up in too many details.

We are going to ignore the previous game in this game.

Your character can be from anywhere. As a crypto zoologist he has long traveled the globe in search of yet undiscovered species thought to be legendary rather than real.

As far as the setting, this is the modern world of the 20th century.. Magic is thought to be so much mumbo jumbo by most Americans and Europeans, though in other parts of the world it still is very much seen a real.

Super weapons and such if they exists are very hush hush. That does not mean they do not exist.

Secret societies are secret as well. Though some are quite well none. But they really aren't that secret .. or are they?

Secrets, secrets... Secrets all the way !
One last question. Are we restricted to the core book or can we also use the supplements, Revelations of Mars included ? I will probably revised my character sheet a bit before we start the game so I might pick things from all the books if they are allowed.

Also, if you know where is that picture of Doc Brown I was using for my character, I would be happy to know. I have started to clean out the gallery but I was unable to find it so far.

I thought it was the Western version but now that I see it, I think you are right. If I remember well, I was unable to find one and used this one. I should send one in his Western coat so it can be added to the gallery.
Thanks for finding it so quickly. :)

I noticed your character has a very high ride skill. Not sure how much use you will get from that compared to some others. That said, I am planning on using the zero level skill optional rule.

So you think this skill might not be useful in your campaign ? As I said, I will take another look at my character sheet to check that everything is OK (It should, I haven't changed it since the previous game). And if you add this special rule, I might even change some skills. I will just wait to see what you settle. :)

Talents
Accuracy (1) (Reduced called shot penalties)
Prerequisites: None
Your character can attack with pinpoint accuracy, picking her target out of a crowd,
hitting him behind cover, and aiming for his vulnerable spots.
Benefit: Your character makes called shots at a reduced penalty. She may ignore up to a –2 penalty for targeting a specific location—such as when an opponent is wearing armor, or hiding behind cover. This Talent also reduces penalties for
attacking opponents smaller than your character.
Normal: When making a called shot to hit a specific target, your character suffers a penalty between –1 and –8 depending on the size of the target area, how much armor an opponent is wearing, or the amount of cover he has.
Advanced: You may buy this Talent up to four times. Your character may ignore an additional –2 called shot penalty per level (i.e., the first purchase allows her to
ignore up to a –2 penalty, the second allows up to a –4, and so on).

Skill Aptitude (Firearms)
Prerequisites: None
Your character has a natural affinity for a particular activity or subject matter and is considered a prodigy or expert in her field.
Benefit: Your character gains +2 Skill rating to a specific Skill (designate one when you take this Talent). This is a general bonus and does not give your character any free Skill Levels.
Normal: Your Skill ratings are unmodified.
Advanced: You may buy this Talent multiple times,
but the benefit is applied to a different Skill each time.

Yep, I can see it. Just like for the character sheet, I'm not sure if I will be able to post something substantial before this Wednesday. What do you mean by "include a description" ? A physical description of my character ?
If so, there's no problem and I would have added one even if you didn't asked for it. :)

Re: Sample Character Sheet

Excellent.

I am on vacation so hard to post.

As far as XP for skills, my understanding it is cumulative. So you must pay per skill level. So the best thing to do is to raise your high skills with the starting skill points and use the XP to raise low ones.
