Re: AF/SF/OF/DL: Encounters Dynamis and Extinction
Shadow Fox, after readying her climbing pads and making sure the alley below is clear, gets a running start.  Leaping, at the last minute, and plunging through the glass of the window.  Shadow Fox sails across the gap, between the buildings, and lands (much like Spider-Man) on the outside of the next building.  Quickly she begins climbing for the top of the building.

Agent Force and Dynamis continue to wail away on each other.  Both men see openings, for a disabling blow.  Agent Force's blow connect's while Dynamis's blow is parried by Agent Force.  The blow, to Dynamis, stunning him.  "Weapons free!"  The lead soldier calls out, to the other soldiers.  "Get back sir, only warning!"  The lead soldier says to Agent Force.  "Listen to him Agent Force!"  Officer King adds.  The one soldier, covering Doctor Light, continues to do so.  "Stay back!  This is a military matter now!"  Officer King continue to cover Agent Force/Dynamis but is staying back, out of the way of the soldiers.

Re: AF/SF/OF/DL: Encounters Dynamis and Extinction
Shadow Fox scales the side of the building, without incident, and climbs onto the roof.  There she has to quickly take cover, next to a roof-top AC unit, to avoid being spotted by a circling helicopter.  The helicopter's spot-lite plays across the roof of the building, briefly, before moving on.  Shadow Fox knows that she will have to either wait, for the air cover to break up, or move further away from the parking garage.

Agent Force gets off of Dynamis and steps back, stopping next to Officer King.  Dynamis makes no attempt to move as the soldiers are itching to fire at point blank range.  Dr. Light remains aloft, shedding lite on the situation.  The soldiers, cautiously and harshly, turn Dynamis over and shackle his wrists, elbows, and ankles.  Once Dynamis is restrained, the 5 man squad relax some and Officer King holsters her weapon.

S/F hide while the helicopter searched for her. She almost kicked herself as she remembered her Police band radio. She tuned into the cop's chatter to figure out where her best next move was, where they were not looking.

Re: AF/SF/OF/DL: Encounters Dynamis and Extinction
Shadow Fox, while evading the patrolling helicopters with their search lites, starts listening in on the police band radio.  She can quickly tell that the police are not in charge and she is only getting half of the radio chatter, that she would like to be hearing.  It seems the military are using a separate frequency and coordinating with someone on the police department.  It does seem they are focusing on searching street level.

Despite the lack of communications traffic, Shadow Fox sees an opening in the patrolling helicopter's coverage.  Shadow Fox doesn't waste time or the opportunity.  Shadow Box bolts from her hiding spot and begins crossing the rooftop.  The next building is too far away, to just leap to Shadow Fox sees and she readies her long bow, draws an arrow, takes aim on a structure on the next rooftop, and fires.  The arrow flies true and anchors to an AC unit, on the next building's roof.  Shadow Fox reaches the edge of the roof and leaps toward the nearest corner of the target building.

Shadow Fox hangs in the air for a second or two before Gravity starts pulling her toward the street.  The unseen black line, running from her arrow to Shadow Fox, pulls taunt and Shadow Fox swings around the corner of the new building.  The inertia of her swing and the corner of the building, she just swung around, begins carrying her upwards and closer to the building.  She clears the level of the rooftop and lands near the edge.

Shadow Fox immediately disappears into the shadows of the new rooftop.  After seeing that no one saw her, especially with the help of the police band, Shadow Fox retrieves her line and the arrow.  Shadow Fox is not sure if she is still in the search radius, despite the access to the police band.

--------------------------

Agent Force, Dr. Light, and Officer King watch as Dynamis is secured, aggressively so by the soldiers.  Their weapons kept trained on the super villain during the process.  The team leader turns to the heroes.  "Don't exit here fast and report to your commanding officer."  With that the 5 man military team, 4 of the men carrying Dynamis between them facing the ground and the unit leader shouldering Dynamis' weapons, begin heading back the way they came down the tunnel.  The only thing left behind of Dynamis' is the dirt bike he was using.

"Well, I'm counting that as a capture."  Officer King states, as she watches the small military squad departing with Dynamis.

Re: AF/SF/OF/DL: Encounters Dynamis and Extinction
Retro just a bit because I am inspired by your pendulum move.

It would be an impossible jump, at least for someone who doesn't have massive strength, and S/F know it. She was stuck for a moment at the edge of one building looking across the canyon of street below she had to get across. She did some quick mental math and got out her bow and tether arrow. Her helmet hit the air conditioner with cross-hairs and her arrow hit that same air conditioner with her tether arrow and then came the swing. For a moment she is in free fall, feeling that falling and not falling feeling and the thrill that accompanied it.

When she reached her goal, only by overshooting it slightly but still landing. Once there she shifted into the shadows, getting a place away from the roving lights of helicopters. Then she was able to focus on her real frustration, her lack of information. Even though she was tuned into the police, she was only getting the tail end of a chain of command. Whatever was happening, she was giving them exactly what they wanted - a target. As long as she was their target they would ignore the real evil that went unmolested.

She faced a choice, continue to run and remain a target or stop running and shift the focus. As much as she hated it she had to make the hard choice. Even with that she was not willing to give up her arsenal. She of course had a backup plan, even for this eventuality. A nondescript duck bag was among her things, and she put all her weapons and gadgets into it, even her helmet, leaving her with only a full face mask to cover her identity. She carefully hid this bag, perhaps at the top of an elevator shaft or in some other very easy to access place which would be difficult to find. She kept a set of road flares (something she used in her magic act from time to time) and she climbed on top of the roof access. She set off the flares all around herself and put her hands on her head...and waited for the inevitable...

Re: AF/SF/OF/DL: Encounters Dynamis and Extinction
Agent Force watched the soldiers take Dynamis away, nodded to Officer King, and slipped further into the tunnel. After he's moved away from the lights, he starts searching for something indicating where Dynamis was going. As soon as anyone catches up to him, he explains, "He was working with the big bony guy, minimally they were aware of and tolerated each other. I'm thinking they might have both been moving to some rendezvous. So I figure I'll try going a little farther in the same direction and look for a landmark or sign."

Dr. Light, following Officer King... as she walks the wrong direction.  Officer King joins Agent Force.  "Looking for signs of where Extinction went."  As Dr. Light joins Agent Force and Officer King, he sees the tracks of a dirt bike.  The track is off to the side and not near Agent Force.

As they're sweeping the area for tracks or clues, Agent Force makes small talk with Officer King, "you know, if we're going to be working together I should probably change my weapon. If we had the same caliber, we could share ammo, in a pinch."

Re: AF/SF/OF/DL: Encounters Dynamis and Extinction
Dr. Light looks from Agent Force down to Agent Force's weapon and then enlightenment dawns in his mind that Agent Force is not talking to him. Light looks over at Officer King and then wonders if Agent Force is being serious or is just trying to flirt. He ignores it and floats down the sewer way looking at the tracks on the ground.

"I use two different weapons and one of those weapons has multiple ammo types.  One revolver and one automatic.  Revolver has the special ammos for aberrants with certain weakness."  Officer King sees the tracks in the dirt and calls Agent Force and Dr. Light over.  Crouching next to the tire tracks and looking around the area with a powerful flashlight.  She then takes a look to the left and further down the tunnel, finally she looks back at Agent Force and Dr. Light.  "Extinction, or someone else is underground in the subway tunnels riding a dirt bike around, was through here recently.  Bike under control.  Doing good speed.  Heavy rider."

"Ok, I'm going to follow those tracks as best I can."
That said, Agent Force starts jogging down the tunnel. His senses are stretched ahead to spot ambush points and note where the tracks might turn.

Re: AF/SF/OF/DL: Encounters Dynamis and Extinction
The trio travel down the dark tunnel, dark away from Dr. Light's aura.  After a bit, a new tunnel splits off from the tunnel, as does the rail lines.  Looking for dirt bike tracks, they find plenty but it is not clear which way their prey may have went.

Dr. Light hovers near the ground and shines his 'flashlight' like power at an oblique angle. He tries to use his mad Forensics skills to discover which direction the 'topmost' set of bike tracks are going.

Agent Force and Dr. Light search for and discover the most recent bike tracks head straight.  Dr. Light having to use some forensic skills to make the discovery.  The lack of fresh debris, in the tunnel that splits off, tells Dr. Light that the bike went straight.  Officer King watches the two of them find the trail.

"I was thinking heading back topside.  At least there we will have transportation.  We will just have to keep our ears open for when Extinction is next sighted.  We aren't going to catch him on foot.  If we do find the bike, Extinction will be long gone.  This was planned."  Officer King says.

Agent Force sighs, and remarks, "ok. I was just trying to put the paperwork off a bit longer. I may need some help with that, I'm not sure what ten code you use for 'knucklehead with two machine guns' or 'giant bony guy with a bad attitude'."
"Hey, you said they would issue firearms, within reason, right? Do you think it would be a good idea to use a pair of MAC-10s? It could be a bit lethal to all but the toughest cases, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask."
