Would we get back hit points lost to CON damage when the damage wore off?

Cord's last 4 missing hit points were due to CON damage.

In reply to Game Moderator (msg # 311):

Thanks! I'm still learning rules/basic fundamentals of the game, please bear with me - I'll try to follow suit but definitely correct me when I do something wrong.

Thanks!

Nice job Cord!!

Because of Cord's previous impulsive behavior, I was reading your latest post and halfway through, I am like, "OMG... he's gonna run in there... free the boy and sacrifice his life to save the boy."

Whew.... had me a goi'n.  Still not sure if he's suicidal or not.  It's a toss up.

Re: The Player's Parlor of Parleying
Ok, here is where I'm going to need most help - I'm going to attack with a bow (per Cord's request to open fire) buuuuut I don't know how much damage I could do (I sort of understand that concept of THAC0) but I don't understand the dice roll part. I know there is a dice roller, but how do I know what the numbers mean?

Cord, I will be attacking ASAP haha. :)

Re: The Player's Parlor of Parleying
Initiative is a d10 - <your dex bonus> (I don't think you have one)
Cord's 10 is bad and he'll probably go last, hence his tripping slowing him down.

You'll be using a ranged attack with your THAC0 of 19.  The GM will let us know the Armor Class of the kobolds once we engage.  But in general, you want to roll high on a d20 to hit.

THAC0 - <bad guy AC> = <what you need to roll or higher for a hit>
or
THAC0 - <your roll> = <AC that you can hit> lower ACs are harder to hit

If you aren't sure if you hit, just describe firing it and the GM will describe whether it was a hit or miss in his synopsis.  But if you roll a 20, you know you hit.  If you roll a 1 you've missed and may have broken something.

If you think you may have hit, go ahead and roll your damage as well and the GM will take care of it if it hits.  Cord's was an obvious miss so I didn't bother with the damage roll.

Cut and paste your rolls from the roller on your post so the GM doesn't have to look them up.

Before new Lann wanders off due to inactivity, we're just sluggish because it's tomato counting season in GMville.

Re: The Player's Parlor of Parleying
Since you mentioned having questions about the system I wasn't sure if you'd seen the super old basic rules before.  I found this link to what is essentially the basic rules that we're using.  GM has his own house rules and such listed in his thread but this should cover the rest.

http://www.goblinoidgames.com/labyrinthlord.html

You want the "Core Rules (complimentary no-art version)".

I especially like the combat example where half the party is killed by 4 orcs.  A little more hard core than we're playing.

Re: The Player's Parlor of Parleying
Awesome, thank you much. Yeah I have joined a couple other games as well so I could try to learn - I think it looks more complicated than it is but I still literally have done nothing yet in any of the games except shoot an arrow in this one, so I could be wrong haha

Re: The Player's Parlor of Parleying
Im really sorry guys...

Pack is still underway, but may soon be winding down.  Tired of the eight to twelve hour or more days, and working seven days a week.

I will put a lot of energy into ramping the game up when I get a break from this work load.

Re: The Player's Parlor of Parleying
No worries Aris, I have been extremely busy as well.  But that is coming to a close soon.  Friday, in fact, the pack season will officially be over and I will have the whole WEEKEND off... yay!  We are ahead of schedule and surpassed production expectations.  An abundance of tomatoes this year.

I will advance the game then...

I hope you are all still here.  Val, I hope your pistachio pack season is going well.

Enjoy!

Re: The Player's Parlor of Parleying
In an online game of this format, it's easy to wait for someone else to post who is waiting for you to post.  So if you are gong to wait for someone to act before you do, you can either do it in character or post it in the OOC thread just to make sure everyone knows that you're waiting on them.

Usually, it's better to post something IC, even if it's short just to keep it in story.  Plus it's easier for the GM to track that everyone had their say before he moves on.

Lann waited expectantly to hear the girl's reply after Cord called out for her.

The elf kept a wary eye on the exit the kobolds used.

Girding his loins, Lann shouted his family war cry and charged off into darkness after the fleeing kobolds!

I just got home late yesterday afternoon after another stent in the hospital starting last Friday morning, was excruciatingly sick before that for about a week.  Lots of infection, went a bit septic.  I'm better but still feeling weak but at least I'm home without those dang beeping machines.  Now to read and catch up and try to be a better poster.

Not pushing for a post, but just some reassurance that real life has stepped in and that we aren't waiting in vain for some sign of future hope.

Hi folks.  It's been a while.

I finished out the pistachio harvest, then got put on projects for executives, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas.  So yeah.  Life.

I thought I had been removed from the game since I hadn't seen any posts from RPOL in my email.  Then I saw Cord's post so I thought I would say I can get back in if the game starts up.

Well my work and home life just became scheduled like crazy.

I won't be able to participate any further.

Thanks, all, for a fun game while I was able to participate.
