So far the ranks are

Drugar - Blacksmith/Ex-Priest
Korin - Psi-Mystic
Ronan Stonehammer - Dwarf Warrior and Smasher of Barstools
Saul Hudson - Long Bowman
Thilo Brighthand - Wizard (but he has let me know if someone else wanted to play a wizard he would play something else, as he only selected wizard cause no one had filled it at the time.)

A ranger with a longbow, the right kinda skills and maybe a couple choice minor psionics powers would be useful and awesome. Of course more magic wouldn't hurt. I'm always of the opinion whatever you would have the most fun playing will probably lend most to the overall story.

Fortunately and unfortunately the family emergency turned to my family member passing away very quickly but also in peace surrounded with family.  I thank you for your patience and will have some posts up here right away and get this new year rolling.  The reason I guess I am sharing which I am sure is a little strange is this a way to move past this moment in life and to distract myself somewhat.  I usually use video games to distract myself, but I am finding this storytelling to be very intriguing.  Anyways I greatly appreciate everyone's patience and look forward to the new year with you all.

I am thinking of having an NPC board, describing both good, neutral and bad characters that you encounter on your travels.  I will say up front that I am kinda stoked for the idea but also don't want anyone adapting their characters play styles with say secret knowledge of NPC's.  Let me know what you think and maybe any suggestions.

I'd say just a brief paragraph of what we've seen of the NPC in game, this way no can intentionally or intentionally meta game. Anything we haven't seen in character (such as the fact that certain 'friendly' NPC's might bad guys) shouldn't be posted for us players to see.

So most of them have slave or indentured servants throughout the world, the feel from all the books that Palladium has put out is that is very early age like england, france even as old as Rome for technology and how citizen are treated.  There is even a Rifter that touches on the subject of slaves, going so far as to say Dwarves make crappy slaves...I will pull from that for info is you like.  The Timiro Kingdom south of the eastern territories has the largest slave pop.

In reply to The Storyteller (msg # 123):

Do you know which Rifter? I probably have it.

The reason behind my question is I was watching Game of Thrones and found myself brainstorming on how to put together an OCC for the Unsullied.  Probably not the best choice as a player character because Unsullied are eunuch slave soldiers, but they'd make a great enemies  for PCs during a mass battle or if they are serving as guards in some palace the PCs are trying to infiltrate.

So the big question is there a kingdom in the Palladium world that would create a legion of Unsullied? They start their training at the age of five years and compete it by age 15.  They go through some brutal stuff (other then being castrated) during training which makes them pretty much fearless warriors who unquestionably carry out orders.

Yeah I know. It even mentions in the show/books that they (Unsullied) are not as strong as a knight of Westeros. In the books, Unsullied who live long enough (they probably don't have a long lifespan being used as shock troops) end up as fat household guards.

I see some of you have posted, the last 2 months have been a real &^%$ show...I ended up framing a 1300 sq ft house with garage by myself(no skilled labor around : well squeezing in other odd jobs to make sure I could pay bills and helping project manage a house for my wifes uncle who had stroke.  Anyways kinda feels like make belief just writing this, but officially all that crazy shit is done know and I have a more reasonable schedule.  Working for yourself can be a real pain in the ass, but it does have some freedoms...some times :D.  I truly want this game to go forward, hell I caught shit from my wife for buying all the books I was missing for PFRPG...hehe holiday present for myself...anyways I figure either let me know by posting here or in the main thread and we will get some adventure going.  I will get it if some of you are skittish as I totally dropped the ball and broke my own rules...

Belated Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays, hope everyone's travels were safe and/or are going safely and that you got a DD for the new years eve shenanigan's.

Re: OCC

The GM has allowed me to post an ad for my latest game:

Rifts: The Order of Mystic Knights
Mystic Knights are infamously known as one of the most hated and feared warriors on the North American continent of Rifts Earth. Many are unaware that the Mystic Knights have a hierarchy. Operating out the Magic Zone there are five Great Houses who control the Order, contracting services across the continent. There are also several Minor Houses that operate outside of the Magic Zone, but yet are formally recognized by the Five Great Houses. Then there are the freelance and banished Mystic Knight who wander the continent seeking employment and riches for themselves.

Player characters will be members of the Great and Minor Houses of the Order of Mystic Knights. Each House is supplying one Mystic Knight and one possibly non-Knight to a mission of utmost importance to the order.

This is an adult game due to the amount of graphic and gratuitous violence that is bound to occur when a group of 4-8 Mystic Knights are traveling across the North American Continent of Rifts Earth.

Re: OCC

So for those player characters whose players don’t make a post will we be seeing gruesome deaths for them?

Trying to upload a map of the fort I made and any other relative material I find I might want you guy and gals to look at.  Any of the experienced GM's have a good way of doing that?

Re: OCC

The only issue i find with the game map (you can have a different one for each group) is that the image might not show as refreshed due to cookies.

Re: OCC

Awesome, glad to hear, I will post a brief summary later so you won’t have to do so much reading as to what is going on...I am just seeing who is still interested from the original and then go from there.  I would like to roughly keep some of the ideas I had.

With the holidays upon us I am sure it might be a touch slow, but as the last couple people come straggling in as we resurrect this story we will get a steady pace and get to adventuring.  Thanks to those who are still willing to play and to the new comers.

Almost a full year later and I have put up hot garbage, I thank you for all giving me an opportunity to GM when I did.  I will be shutting this game down officially effective the end of this week I believe.
