Fuzzy: Iomedae's Library

"Well that's good," she acknowledged.   "It is a little the same with my being out here, and leaving home.  It wasn't an easy choice, and some things have been a challenge, yet I continue to find rewards.  Don't tell me how the story ends!  I may want to read it myself, one day."   She closed the book, replaced it upon the shelf.

"Is your brother your only sibling?   Are you two much alike, or the sort of brothers who are so different, one can only tell by the family name?"

"I have a sister as well, Lusia she is studying magic in Restov.  Palidamus is quite different, he is a scholar and a writer though to look at you can tell we are family. he rubs across his jawline We have a simklar jawline though he looks much more elven than I do.  Lusia though is more like father than either of us.  he stops for a moment and smiles Do you have any siblings? Or perhaps after your father remarried...

She pictured both Palidamus and Lusia as he described them in turn, reflecting that this sounded like an intriguing family.    Maybe, one day, she would learn first hand...

"I grew up an only child.  My parents weren't together long enough to have another. I have some cousins, though, who somewhat filled that space.  Human, as all of my father's side.    And yes, I now have a step-brother, though young enough to be my own child.   With another addition to the family on the way.   I regret a little I won't be around to see them grow.   But, though my father's second wife and I are polite to one another, we are not close.  It took my father years and years to get over my mother.   And, unfortunately, his wife knows this. And, I think sees in me a reminder he once loved another woman very deeply."

Domitius vould see a sense of sadness in Alisa, they had grown up in very different households it seemed, yet their shared half elven ancestry did allow for some common reference points.  He wasn't sure why but he had a sense that there meeting wasn't by chance.

"It must be hard feeling that wedge in your family, I suspect you blame yourself for not being able to bridge the gap. Domitius looked down to once again find his hand upon Alisa's "Sometimes things happen outside of our own control for reasons we will never know, but they can put us on the path we are meant to be on.  Domitius paused for a moment then his smile widened and he seemed to blurt out I will freely admit I did not expect to find myself meeting so beautiful a woman today but I thank the gods for the path that brought me here." he finished with a slight blush of his own.
