Before long, the travelling group are ready to leave and the only ones left inside the outpost are Rook, Rikka, Oleg, Svetlana and the three captive bandits.

”You will leave these dead bandits in their shirts and trousers!” Svetlana suddenly shouts across to Oleg when he returns to working on the bodies he intends to hand from the wall.  ”I am not going to have naked, indecent men hanging from my walls.  Whatever would people think …” her voice trails away as she turns to the task of tidying up the battle area.  ”And you mind that you shut those gates properly when you are done.”

Oleg just nods and gets on with his work, knowing that her release has to come from somewhere.  His had been in that crossbow bolt and followed through to these bodies.  This was Svetlana’s.

Rikka takes a shortbow, and a quiver of arrows, up to the top of one of one of the corner towers, "I'll take first watch." she calls.

For a while she stands up tall, looking around into the distance, trying to work out how much she can see from there, before taking a walk along the wall walkway to the next tower, where she repeats the process.
