The Stadium District is buzzing with excitement, the Stadium Tavern is doing a roaring trade, and vendors work the streets selling everything from Sossage in a Bun and Sticky-Bird (some sort of small roast bird, on a stick) through Hot Nuts, and various honey confections, to favours made up in the colours of the scrymball teams.

It is the opening night of the new stadium, Pipre's Pit as it is known locally.  She scowls when she hears that but, underneath, you suspect she enjoys the name and, perhaps, even approves of it.  The stadium is hosting a double header - a mad night of Scrymball, with the Golden Keys, a professional team sponsored by the House of Abadar, taking on the Stadium-A’s - The amateur team who play at Lodkova Park.  Then Tusk City, sponsored by the City Council, will take on The Lakeside Mulers.  Sponsored by DELEM and WSM, the Mulers draw players and support from all the Serai.
