Re: Team player

Does group 1 all log in at the same time?  I had one player post while a was typing and another before a even reread my own post for grammar errors (Yes, I'm one of those).  We have 4 posts all within 5 minutes, lol.

Also, I call Rita.  I just want to cast enlarge animal on Pipre's stuffed owlbear and yell "Make my monster grow!"

Re: Team player

I think the wheels have already been set in motion Mr. DM.  There's not much you can do short of killing Zorah.  And even then I may just have David slowly develop multiple personalities where one is a giant stuffed owlbear.

Is it too late to make David think he's a giant stuffed owlbear?

Looks like you had a blast!

The men of my family all participated in muzzleloader deer hunting when I was a boy. I got to hunt squirrels while they napped. I'll let you guess who actually killed anything...

Hey Vik, where did you get that awesome one minute factoid? Is that based on your lift from your Strength?

Re: Team player

Those are, of course, absolute limits when you are working flat out :)

I assume, in this instance, that you would like to go a bit more slowly?  Removing blocks, bricks and timbers carefully so as to reduce the chances of the 'wall' collapsing on you?  Placing them carefully to one side so that you don't trip over them if you need to run away?

*Big GM Grin*  This could turn into Jenga that bites back :)

Re: Team player

We should have brought our Owlbear back with us for Zorah.  Before it died, I mean.

Vik:
Percy, if you ever need an assistant appraiser, Vik's got the skill (because of course she does)... I'm glad to use aid another to give you a +2

Yes please !  Percy is a merchant by trade, but he's no expert.

Jenga ... nooo !  We're going slowly !  Ignore them !!

Re: Team player

Well then can we go full tilt if a member of our team makes a Knowledge (dungeoneering) or (architecture and engineering) check? Assuming anyone has those?

Otherwise is say...3/4 load acceptable?

Re: Team player

With two of you working and Valoria directing it will take the best part of ten minutes to get a decent sized opening, with rocks and timbers moved away from the entrance so they don't form a trip hazard.

Closer to 20 if you want to clear it completely  :)

Re: Team player

Just so I know, how much of a speed reduction are we taking and how much debris is there?

And yes, 20 mins seems a fair price to pay to do things right.

Re: Team player

Actually, I don't know what the volumes are, or what the rate reduction is.  Sorry.

I do know it is a solid blockage, made of stone, bits of old furniture, tree branches, short lengths of rope and all sorts of other stuff.  It all fits together in a complex 3-d jigsaw.  So rather than calculating it on absolute load shifted (as I would for example if you were shovelling a pile of dirt and pebbles)  I am using a fairly arbitrary value to allow time for you to work out how to dismantle it safely.

The pair of you are comfortably strong enough, comfortably able to move the stuff -  but it is more complex than just pulling all the material out.
