"That's a very nice light crossbow you have found there," Andalon congratulated Rook's group. "Has anyone expressed an interest in it yet? If no one else wants it I would be happy to put it to use in Abadar's name. It looks like it should be a lot more accurate than this old crossbow of mine. I'm not a great bowman, though, so if anyone else can put it to better use I would be happy for them to do so."

"I'll take your old crossbow, if no one else can make use of it. Lolli could use a good solid ranged weapon"

Vik eyed the shortswords

"I will certainly be looking to get those blades, however."

I meant to say -  I tidied the list a bit and  clarified a few items -

Note:  I couldn't remember precisely where some of them came from -  so I might have guessed and streamlined things a bit :)  (ie flint * steel becomes tinder box and spare clothes get more closely defined

"Oh. I'm sure someone who's more alike to find themselves in the thick of the fray would appreciate that enchanted armour," Percy indicates the magical leather that he added to the pile, "nevertheless, I'll feel somewhat vulnerable without anything to protect me from the slings and arrows or cut and thrusts, and since my old leather is back on our poor unfortunate, ah benefactor, I rather fancy that plain leather armour there," he points again.

OOC: After the Leather Armor on the list below, not +1 or MW.  :>

"Percy, you should take that finely crafted, studded leather armour instead, unless someone else would like it. It is so well made it won't impede your movements any more than that plain leather armour there, and it will provide a bit more protection. It only weighs about 5 pounds more than the leather."

OOC: i.e. Suggesting that Percy would be better served by the MW studded leather armour until we find something even better later.

Percy eyes the metal studded leather somewhat dubiously, the overall effect clearly not to his tastes, but he thanks Andalon for his suggestion, bowing to the priest's wisdom.  "Oh. If nobody else would lay claim to it," the young gentleman looks around hoping that one of the group might show some interest, "then by all means ..."

Alright folks, who would like to put their hand up for the
  • Leather armour +1
  • Ring of Protection +1
  • Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds; and
  • Glow stick (shed purple light as a candle  - magical)

If you don't want an item permanently you will be able to trade it back in later to sweeten the deal when we find something else you fancy more.

There is also a suit of MW leather.

And the possibility that Cyrus might want to take  the Potion to the Orcy Ring as a Party Treasure  -  seeing as that is the trip that is most likely to end in violence.    Unless Bai, Pipre and Zorah really upset the fey.

Yes. I would like the potion with us. I will likely need it...

Also, I will happily take the ring of protection but my AC is already pretty high so it probably should go to a less armored character.

Is anyone currently wearing ordinary leather armour? They would benefit from upgrade to +1 leather or masterwork leather, especially if they are stealthy types.

Oh. Right ... so Percy will just take all of the magical treasure (don't want the flask of healing potion to break before we can pour it down your throat, Cyrus) ... and if we could arrange a palanquin so some of you stronger sorts can carry me around in style ... <grins, ducks, runs>

But seriously ... yes, Percy would benefit from magical leather, but the MW Studded is equally as good - and in purely mercenary terms, unless we have a druid in our midst who is limited to non-metal armour, we'd be better off sending off for MW Studded Leather  175GP and selling the magical armour for ((10+150+1000) / 2 = 580GP).

"Zorah, we would like you to wear this magical leather armour, please. I thought of offering it to Pipre but, well, she would probably only wear the top half anyway!

"Yes, I know, Percy has worn it for the last couple of days and yes, it was worn by a half-orc before that but we can wash it for you first. Go on, say you will wear it. That really does seem like the best option."

It's magical.  It never needs washing.

Yes, Zorah the Druid is the ideal candidate to proudly bear forth the magical leather armour on behalf of all of us.  That's what we call a good option.  :>

While it is probably psychological there does appear to a very slight lingering aroma of orc sweat mixed with Percy's cologne ....
