The Happy Drover Inn

Andalon just keeps on riding, trying to keep up with Henry and Tib.

"What do you know about this Moto fellow?" he calls to Henry as they ride.

Zorah follows behind the warriors making sure that Murdock and Puck stay out of the focus of the wolves.  When the group is close enough to strike she will dismount and give the command for her animal friends to stay put.

The Happy Drover Inn

Henry and Tib drive their horses forward towards the fight, drawing the others along behind them.  Henry shouts something in response to Andalon’s question but the substance of the answer is lost in the wind flying past your ears.  Even Bart and Valoria’s mounts, although their riders keep them towards the rear of the group are drawn along with the mad gallop..

Meanwhile up ahead, Moto bravely swings his sword in a massive - meeting a wolf that leaps towards him  and almost slices the creature in half.  However, as he roars his pleasure (either at effect of his sword blow, or your appearance) another wolf leaps up and seems to knock the sorcerer off balance.  Sword in hand Moto teeters on the edge of his rock ...

OOC -  Make a ride skill check DR 10 to stay in the saddle through this mad ride and get to 250 feet away from Moto.

07:32, Today: Zorah rolled 14 using 1d20 ((14)). ride check, -5 for bareback

edit: Just realized I didn't actually put the -5 into the dice roller, that should be a result of 9.

"What was that ...?" Andalon began to ask when he missed Henry's answer to his previous question. Unfortunately, his instinctive reaction of cupping one hand behind his ear to help him hear was probably a mistake.

OOC:  Andalon de Lebeda rolled 6 using 1d20.  Ride check.

For Valoria this was way more riding then she had done in her life. She tried to go at a slower pace, but her horse had other ideas. “Young ladies, who don't know how to ride falling off horses and get their necks broken all the time...It's not unheard of, my young lady”, her father once said...those words now ran through her mind as she began lose her grip. This was going to hurt.

12:28, Today: Valoria der lin Lebeda rolled 1 using 1d20.  Ride check.
Yes, I rolled a fumble....yes I know....I await the fall damage....:P

Moto slips under the assault from the wolf and more of the creatures leap on top of him.

Tib and Aris'ta draws their horse up at about 90 feet from the fight, jump from their horses and shoot arrows into the melee.    While Henry and Cyrus charge into the battle weapons drawn.

Valoria, Anadlalon and Zorah all struggle with the mad ride and drop a bit further back from the others, while Brother Bart  continues to ride easily at the rear, ready to give any assistance they might need.

from close up, the wolves all look thin, (they have just survived winter) and are now in one large group tearing at Moto.   Wolf = AC 14
You are all +1 to attack rolls from Brother Bart's spell.

Andalon quickly grabbed the reins again with both hands, braced himself in the saddle with his legs and fought hard just to stay on the horse's back. He was concentrating so hard on the task he had little chance of keeping track of what was happening to anyone else.

The wolves turn,  leaving Moto in  a copllapsed heap on the floor, and attack those closest to them.  Two turn on Henry -  one of them leaping at him and getting a huge bite on his arm, while the other nips at a leg.  Another two turn on Cyrus, one managed to find the gaps in his armour, the other misses.

Keston and his men still charge up, on foot,  the road some distance behind you, while Tib shoots his bow again and Henry slashes at the wolves again.

Bart rides around at the rear, helping to calm the horses of those having difficulty.

-----
Tib & Aris'ta are at about 95 feet, the rest of the horsemen at about 150feet, while Keston and his boys are still 250feet away.

All horses are under control again.

Zorah urges Puck forward with the others.  He doesn't like the looks of those wolves and resists.  Zorah spends the next few precious seconds trying to convince Puck to continue.  "Come on, Puck!  They're a fourth your size.  I promise you can let me off when we get closer."
