Re: OOC2

Ah, my bad :) I know he doesn't like the hybrid classes, I guess was just lumping inquisition in with them.

Re: OOC2

I do it occasionally. Investigator is the hybrid class but I mix it up with Inquisitor since they sound similar, plus Inquisitor feels very hybrid. Fun though and super customizable, definitively recommend to try out.

Re: OOC2

*GRIN*  Ok, OK!  It is still a very small sub-set of the population.  :P

There are a few base classes (Things like Summoner/gunslinger) that don't (IMO) fit into my  game world, so I ban those outright.  But then, as a 'senior', my Game World vision is rooted firmly in mythology and Tolkienesque world.

I also tend to nix anything that introduces new rules for me to learn :)

Re: OOC2

I have just added a great shrine, that is equivalent to a graveyard, to the religious buildings.  It can be used as a stepping stone to building larger religious buildings and gives you a bit more flexibility.

It also lets us build a version of a Roman Pantheon or Greek religious site with shrines  dedicated to a number of gods.  it couldbe a way of representing the 'official' deities on Midmarch, and be the meeting place for the Religious Council.

That would give us the potential for three tiers of Deity -  Official, Others, Banned.

Re: OOC2

I have just changed the description of a Shrine to say that it can be added to any non-religious building.

It matches with something I had been considering recently  - initially for a minor issue I had with Torag, but it also gives substance to Andalon's concept of a private shrine.

Re: OOC2

It makes sense to be able to erect a shrine to Torag inside a smithy, for instance.

In reply to Adoven (msg # 930):

Exactly.  I did it for Cyrus in Ringbridge, a long time ago -  but didn't really have a good way of doing it.  Ron, who runs the Woodworking shop in Tusk, is also a minor priest of Torag -  and he needs some sort of shrine as well.

Not for traditional potions, scrolls or normal equipment.  Other stuff you need to check with me.

Let's say less than 500gp and in the Core Rules Book - and you don't need to run it past me  :)

Re: OOC2

It is getting very close to the next campaign round, and this is when I have a quick 'look through' all the towns, businesses and estates to remind myself of any issues that might come up, or advice that I might give.

This time, I have published that on my blog ...

A minor change of plan.  Circumstance mean that I will have to work this weekend -  so I am going to start the campaign round off today :)

On another note:   Please don't plan too far in advance -  I am going to conduct a review of building costs AFTER this campaign round.

Perhaps I am anticipating a bit, but I think I have enough resources to cover a Great Market unless you REALLY make a major change to the cost.

Well Dom is all for Midmarch supporting a free Rostland, he would hate to have to fight against his friends.

He is pro halfling and would support a shire within Midmarch.

Re: OOC2

Thank you, Dom.

I am also in favor of encouraging halflings to settle in Midmarch, and Cass needs an IC post about them with anyone who has particular information regarding them, and maybe Andalon specifically.

Should war occur, I am in favor of not interfering and focusing to make sure that none of the violence spills over to Midmarch. If the Aldori do finally unite again, I expect that they would have the victory.

Can I suggest the Dragon's Den - with a PM to those PCs you particularly wish to speak with?

In reply to Cass Mordane (msg # 942):

That's probably going to be the best option, though Henry has ties to Brevoy so may get pulled in on their side.  It also depends what the noble houses do, so far they seem to be standing back and letting things play out between the king and Rostland.

Yes, that “pulling” is one of my concerns, but Henry is adept at maneuvering among those of higher rank.

Re: OOC2

Roughly  11-12,000 people -  spread across all the settlements that make up Midmarch.  Almost half of them live in Tusk and its Hinterlands.

However, that is a 'back of an envelope' calculation -  using values from the population ranges that Paizo give for settlement sizes.

  • Tusk, 5000
  • Ringbridge, 2000
  • Oston, 1000
  • Newgate, 1000
  • tatzleford, 1000
  • 10x villages @ 120
  • 2x wilderness @ 40
