There is not a lot that Oler can use

Boots are claimed. But others aren't. As the leather is +2 it's classed as a major item that and the pearl is allowed

Not to argue but Leather +2 is normally a medium item :), armor isn't major til +3 usually :). Still I defer to DM

The only major item I know of was my sword +1/+3 Bane to Magical Beasts Bastard Sword, made of Mithral.

I will change your status today....been on night shifts so little foggy at the moment.

The items in the vault are either minor (+1 equivalent) with a few major....+2 item or +1 with added powers (+1 frost, bane, etc)

There are exceptions like ninos gauntlet, but the player and I have talked and have an understanding of what such an item means

But most of the items in the vault, despite being minor magical item, are special by either what their made of, design or other

Has my ability damage healed in the intervening time?
Also I was carrying a magic ring that was not identified that was on my sheet, has that been identified, is it part of the treasure?

You are fully healed.

The ring has also been identified but not part of the vault hoard.

yes the staff was. that is him major item

That's what I thought. When he said that was all he could use, I was a little confused, and wondered if the staff had come from somewhere else (I have read some of the other group's threads, but not all of it)

The staff was one of the major items. Very unique and part of a plot hook....reward for my oldest and only original player.

On a side note as of the 17th of January this marks the beginning of my fourth year in this game to give you guys an idea of how long he means by oldest player.
