Kell says "it is not ideal, but I believe I can tear down that door with my bare hands. It may take awhile, but my martial disciplines give me the ability to do so."

"Would be loud I assume. Which is less than ideal and probably leave the door in pieces yes? Out of the options seems most sound unless someone has the key or an idea how to open it quietly. While I can't keep the pursuit off of us forever I can slow them down some if we have to destroy the door." he says as he ponders options to buy time and save their lives. "This is what we came for. Far to close to the answer at this point to stop now. Surprise is lost. So smarts and brute force will have to carry the day."

"Interesting key hole! I'm stumped. Try a knock or some such? If you don't want the noise from Kell that is, I have no doubt of his ability to destroy it." he asks.

"I'm assuming a stone would be placed there to act as a key?" Zell asked "I don't think it would be a good idea trying to tear the place apart."

"We don't have the element of surprise," Sonori assured the others. "It is waiting - and is hungry. We need to be ready for anything. I have no doubt you can tear it down, Kell, but will that tire you?"

Kell shakes his head. "No, actually. Oddly enough, the Earth stone is not responsible for this ability, but it DOES give me greater endurance."

Rivka nodded in agreement with Zell.
"I'm always more for the subtle approach, though I'll admit that I don't have other ideas besides backtracking "

"If we need to get in, I'm for Kell breaking it!" Quinn says, being far more assertive than usual, he had been very quiet lately, he decided that needed to change a bit. "Want some beer and jerky?" he offers to his short buddy Nino.

Nino nods his head yesfor the beer and the jerky nom noms. With one hand drinking beer, he stuck his gauntlet hand into the slot on the door.

"Oh my, I think Nino may have found the key?" he says as his eyes light up! He claps his buddy on the back with praise!

Neliwen carefully inspected the indentation, hoping to find a clue as to the key's form, but she only drew a blank.

Rivka knew that warning Nino would probably have no effect, so she waited for the consequences, ready to dodge

Nym continued to guard the party's collective back as best he could.

Nino stuck his fist in the door indentation, but nothing happened. The dwarf looked around, then shrugged, pulling some jerky from a pouch, ate like nothing happened.

From the darkness, a chill wind came from seemingly nowhere, and everyone frowned.

Kell glances around, glad for his resistance to Cold. He uses his Adaptive Style to swap out Steel Wind for Iron Heart Surge among his Warblade martial spells. With a swift action he falls into a Hunter's Sense stance, granting him the Scent ability.

Zell was surprised that Nino had stuck his hand there in the first place, but when nothing happened, Zell breathed a sigh of relief. Then the chill wind came out of the darkness and Zell went on high alert. Chill winds don't suddenly appear in a tomb.

  Yacob's senses were overloaded from all the wind and the movement of his companions. His head whipping one way and then the next.

Figuring the door might be unlocked with the breeze he's feeling now, Nino pushed on the door.

"Um... Nino? Can you get your hand out? I think it might bite you otherwise..." Sonori said, her voice sounding unsettled.

The chill wind, coming seemingly from everywhere and nowhere seemed to rattle a few people - but none more than Sonori who went pale at the skin.

Sonori looked down the western passage, one you have yet to traverse and kell, feeling the disturbances of air and earth and Rivka and Zell (Rivka grabbing Zell's hand) looked the same way. Neliwen more heard the faint whisper on the breeze n that direction.

....The dwarves (both current and former) looked behind them with no idea what was happening.

Quinn called for his god to grant him the ability to detect evil.

....and he felt like his head almost exploded.

The man fell to the floor screaming as a overwhelming presence of evil could be felt below you....even through the stone of the floor, this evil penetrated even that.

whatever had caused the disturbance in the air, the uneasiness of sonori and the pain with quinn, it was getting closer.

....but how close?
