Re: What do you want to play?
Looking forward to a break in the workload so I can read them...

...and should have my PDF of MY0 soon!

Re: What do you want to play?
If people haven't received their pdf at the end of the week, I'd be willing to lend my pdf to those who need it, just until Modiphus gets their asses in gear with them.

If it is of interest to anyone?

EDIT: Not needed it seems :)

Re: What do you want to play?
Sorry for the late response RealmMisfit, and thank you for the offer, but I did get my link and downloaded the MYZ pdf this morning.

I'm still about four weeks out from being able to really sitdown, read, and absorb it due to work however.

If you all wish to start without me, I'll definitely understand.

=)

I'll say that depends mostly on our gm but I don't mind waiting.

And I don't mind jumping in late.

So it looks like we are all a very amicable group.  Just the way I like it!

=)

At the very least, I can keep following along in the threads and stay on top of the story.

Kain quickly grabs a couple of throwing knives, hurling them at the tumble weed. "Take that tumble weed!" He yells as the knives whizz through the air missing their mark horribly. "Damn..." He mumbles to himself as he bends down to pull them out of the ground.

Re: What do you want to play?
Cork stands by Kain without noticing or paying any attention about his partner who seemed to be disturbed on few lonely tumble weeds for some reason. He watched Kain's enthusiasm as he sighed and took out his half cracked double cylinder shaped apparatus that has the word 'Binocular' chiseled out at one of the body of those cylinder. He placed his eyes on one end of it and continued to look across the horizon through it.

Sorry I'm not participating much.

Work is currently:

-7 days a week  (next day off will be sometime after April 18th - Tax Day!)

-12-16 hour days

-way, WAY too much stress

But less than two weeks now and then I'll be able to dive into this.

Hope that's okay with everyone.

Chris

In reply to MidnightBlue23 (msg # 33):

It is mostly meant for our dear GM and KoboldKing. We haven't really heard from any of them since March 12th.

EDIT: So, just found out that you can see when a user last logged in. Our GM was online last on 20th of March and KoboldKing on the 12th.
I am a little curious about what is going on there and what might happen to the game?

Re: What do you want to play?
Anyone have any clue what is to happen here? It's been around a month since we have heard from either our GM and King.
Any suggestions about what to do?

So... Could anyone enlighten me about what is going on? It's been quite a while since I/we have heard anything about what is going on.

Re: What do you want to play?
I'm just digging out of my worst time of year at work.  Seeing what we might want to be doing here before the GenLab Alpha book releases is one of my digging out projects.

But it is going to take a little time to get something up and running, I'm sure.

I know our gracious hosts have offered to run a GenLab Alpha game, but that book release is still a little ways out.

Maybe we (and that doesn't have to mean our GenLab Alpha GM) could do some short encounter type setups to get used to the posting format and figuring out the dice roller with MYZ-type dice rolls?

I still need to spend time with the MYZ pdf.  I haven't read anything during tax season.

So I'm definitely still interested, but I think this will be a slow build to GenLab Alpha.

Just my two cents.

Re: What do you want to play?
I recently received the Genlab Alpha pdf, anyone else received it?

If people are interested I could try to cook up a short Year Zero game?
Maybe something like people waking up in the middle of the zone with no memory of how or why they are there and having to find their way back to the ark or something?

I'd have to read up on how to GM things on this site but would people be interested in this?

Just me being weirded out by the lack of information, I guess. It's my first time doing play-by-post and as a player so guessing I am a little nervous and a bit impatient.

In reply to RealmMisfit (msg # 38):

Yeah, I've never actually GM-ed over here either.

I've just played in a couple of games.

I can't imagine it would be too difficult to pickup, but I'd need to be able to find the time that I won't have for another month yet.

I did get my preview PDF of Genelab Alpha too, by the way.

In reply to MidnightBlue23 (msg # 39):

What I meant was that they sent out the "finished" Version and gonna start printing sometime in the start of next month. Slowly working my way through it.

And as said, I there is an interest I'd be happy to figure out how to run a game.
Would be nice to hear from everyone else though.

Re: What do you want to play?
In reply to RealmMisfit (msg # 40):

I'm interested.

Oh...and yeah, that's still the "preview" version of Genlab Alpha.  They're giving us the opportunity to look for typos and errors before the book gets tweaked and then printed.

If I had more time, I'd help out with the proof reading but too much going on right now with a family member in the hospital (terrible accident on Friday) and work/home drama.

Sorry for the long absence, and it is going to continue after this...but no, things aren't okay.

Thanks for asking though.

My grand-niece (6 years old) was hit by a truck.  She's out of the woods now, but it will be a long recovery.

While that is still rough to deal with, that is not what's stealing all of my free time now.  Work and home projects just exploded all of a sudden and there aren't enough hours in the day to get it all done.

So I'm going to need to bail for the time being.  (Along with running events for Free RPG Day at my local game store and at a local convention later in the fall.  I just don't have the time to do it right and I don't need another thing to add to the stress level.)

Sorry all.

Damn... All the best wishes from here. I truly hope she recovers quickly and have no permanent disability or mental scarring.

All the best to you too, hopefully things will calm down for you.
