Klaengr moves around to the other side of the undead so that he is facing the fjord, to the north edge of the lighted area and brandishes the holy symbol of Aegir, facing the undead around. "Back to HELL, spawns of evil! AWAY WITH THEE!"

Re: A time of ill omens

Klaengr maneuvers himself away from the edge of the fjord, but before he can reach a position from which to effect his inspired plan, a skeleton closes on him, raking at him with it's clawed hands, drawing blood from his right arm!

Behind him, Amund fires two arrows towards where he though he spotted something. He feels confident one arrow hit home, but the other flew low and shattered upon a large stone jutting out of the snow covered ground.

Geri twisted between his foes, barking and yapping, confused as he tried to bite a skeletons, but found his teeth unable to do any damage. The skeleton swung at the dog, but was thrown off balance by having one leg in the dogs mouth. Geri yelped in pain as the zombie clawed at his haunch, tearing at his flesh...

While the battle was not without it's sounds, the scrapping, the moaning, Geri's growls, the volume shot up as Vermunder finally decided to stop gnawing on his shield, roaring in rage and lashing out with his axe against the skeleton that had foolishly moved to attack him.

The well worn axe smashed thru bones, crushing the rib cage, however the skeleton only staggered back then swung it's short sword, however the blade failed to comment, glancing off his buckler.

Almost absent-mindly, Ludvig's mighty blade shattered the remains of his foe, before he stepped back to get shoulder to shoulder with Hrunnwulf. The brightness of the light hid the fact that Klaengr, whom he assumed was behind him, was off in the darkness...

Eager to close, Hrunnwulf let his sensibilities take over. Taking a defensive stance, he moved sideways to cover a battered but clearly human man get behind him.

"'ware the fjord lad, theres a cliff back there."

The lad nodded his understanding. Still concerned, the gratitude on his face was clear.

"'ware the Jotunn man, 'ware the Jotunn. If he defeats you, I'll welcome the jagged rocks..." Several others human, both females, passed even further to his left, but he heard Dragnar call to them from behind him.

Amunds keen ears suddenly picked up the sound of hooves, right in front of him, and closing fast. The fiery sparks from it's hooves were visible, but he still couldn't make out the form. He felt he soon would...

Re: A time of ill omens

Risking life and limb, Klaengr rushes around the edge of the battle, trying to find a position from which to attempt him ploy. From in front of, out of the darkness however, charges a muscular black pony with something whose form and shape man was never meant to comprehend, a darkness which roils and bubbles, bizarrely mocking the shape of man, whip in hand, it moves to trample the cleric under the flame-sparking hooves oh his mount!

"By the power of the wind and the rain, but the fury of the storm, Aegir commands you to flee, return to your graves, abominations!" (OOC the stared undead are now fleeing mindlessly towards the fjord)

Having taken this action however, the cleric left himself exposed to the attacker, which tramples him to the grown, and takes a bit out of his hair!

Amund faces another such monstrosity, also aiming the run him down. Swing with both swords, Amund's efforts are for naught as one blade misses complete, and the other strikes the beasts muscular flank but does  not appear to do any harm. He suddenly felt quite along, out on the foggy moors! The Beast lashed back in fury, connecting with one hoof, the warrior managing to avoid the other hoof and the sharp gnashing teeth that aimed for his face with malice aforethought!

Fury incarnate, Vermundr smashed the skeleton before him, then charged forward. One of the larger skeletons spotted him and closed to meet the berserker face to face!

His presence freed Geri to duck out and race towards Amund!

Further back, Hurnnwuff lashes out with his axe, smashing an attacking skeleton with a single blow of his mighty axe! To his right, Ludvig was charged by a woman whose throat had been cut, and her flesh gnawed upon by some unknown beast! The mighty warrior brought his two handed blade around to slice her, but he missed, allowing the woman to close the gap and dig her teeth in to his flesh! It was at this moment that he realized his ward, the man he had sworn to defend, was not behind him, but across the battlefield, and being trampled by a midnight black horse and a rider of ineffable evil!

Calling out words of support, Dragnar took his position between and slightly behind the two warriors. Off to the right, he spotted two more of the muscular black ponies, and their hell-spawn riders...

Re: A time of ill omens

Dragnar swung his blade at the zombie closing on him, but the only result seemed to be to lure other undead towards him, in this a second zombie and a skeleton. The engaged zombie groaned something about 'brains' and swung a heavy head, impacting forcefully against the bards chest.

Hrunnwulf charged forward past the front rank of undead and attacked the Jotunn-bone, though both of his might blows failed to connect. The creature hefts a long bone spear dripping a viscous green ichor and stabbed at the mans direction, but failed to drive the serrated point home. To his right, second Wrackspawn passed towards Dragon and the other people.

Klaegnr faced his fearsome foe, his heavy hammer slamming forcefully into the creatures hide. I roared in pain and lashed out again, connecting with one hoof! The priest staggered, but held his ground. Across the battlefield, Ludvig raced in his direction, but would he reach the priest in time? Only time would tell! (OOC two more rounds, barring interference)

Roaring a fearsome challenge, Vermundr charged fearlessly into the Wrackspawn, smashing one of them a fearsome blow! Two lashed out with their fearsome spears, one connecting!

Meanwhile Geri chased after the fleeing skeletons and zombies, herding them away from the frightened humans...
