Necropolis

Panian urges the others to head back quickly to meet with Nichia, Charani, Nymeria and Vito. He is filled with worry for his friends, hoping for them to be alive and healthy, but the more he witnesses of the city the more he accepts and begins to prepare himself for what his friends have become. "Damn this entire city," He mutters, and is surprised at the abrasive whisper that his voice sounds like. It's starkly different than before, thin and otherworldly. He thinks about his friends again. What if the trance was protection from the Doomsday device? He tries to reassure himself... but, If even righteous Theodoric could go from a holy man to a decaying Wizard of the dead, what awaits his other friends? The creatures of darkness that he passes should fill him with dread, but he welcomes their negative energy. He sees the other dead in the city eyeing him with their strange eyes and feels a sense of welcome for their hatred. It is a strange tugging at his being, this abstract idea of vengeance that seems as though it must be fulfilled. He shakes it away the best he can, but his mind keeps coming back to it. Whatever he felt through the ideals of the Blood Oath to protect Nymeria is now a near overwhelming obsession. He feels driven to return, and doesn't even realize that he is often ignoring obstacles in his way, just simply passing through them.
