Re: Day 4 - Lance Rock Part 2
As Bram approaches Brother Eardon, the man smiles and beckons him over. "Welcome back and well met, Sir Bramwell," the man declaims. "I was hoping you and your companions would return. I'm eager to hear tell of your fortunes, but first let me introduce you to my companion here. Imdarr Relvaunder, priest of Red Larch, meet Bramwell Caulder of-" The man falters, but Imdarr extends his hand.
"A pleasure I'm sure, young paladin," Imdarr says, looking Bram up and down. The greying man arches an eyebrow. "I must say, if you're a devotee of Deneir I would have expected to meet you at the Allfaiths Shrine before now, since Eardon tells me you have been in town for several days. Unless Deneir has reduced the devotional duties of the faithful since I'd last heard." He takes a small sip from his cup of water.
"There has indeed been news," Brother Eardon continues. "The whole town's abuzz with the details of the missing delegation it seems. News travels fast."
Imdarr nodded. "I know our fine innkeep here is hopeful that your excursion - apparently successful," he adds doubtfully, "would end the steady flow of strange occurrences in our town. But I fear she may be mistaken. Greater forces are at work here I sense, and we may not be out of the woods."
Eardon nods slowly, a sad look on his face. "The rumors continue unabated. Larmon, a local shepherd, has been telling alarming stories of freshly dug graves in the Sumber Hills. And new rumors are starting to surface about piracy on the Dessarin River. I doubt a little undead incursion nearby would be responsible for all that."
"All the same, I'm ready to hear the tale of your exploits near Lance Rock," Imdarr says. "There's no question your group has been a great boon to this town, and learning more about what we're up against will only be to the good. We are quite grateful for your efforts to thwart the threats you already have."
