Anima Assets
-Anima district in Nexus
-Primary and Secondary Portal rights
-Portal Creator Explosion liability insurance

Anima Portals
-Nexus to Comowe: large ships, big, mass transit & trade
-

Anima Medical
-Malhemotin treatment research ((reveal cure & treatment on March 15))

Auraluna
When the party goes through the Portal to Auraluna, they exit onto the ground of what appears to be a vast complex filling the inside of a moon sized planetoid. The equatorial zone is lined with normal gravity structures, and closer to the center there are zero gravity structures. Every structure seems to have been grown from a singular large seed like object in the true center of Auraluna. Neon light of every hue emanates from photo-luminescent insects, molds, fungi, and the very bark of the superstructure itself. Shops of every sort and variety are apparent around the place. Aliens of every known and new race can probably be found. As much as Nexus is an old city of connections to everywhere, Auraluna is a new bazaar of new connections to new places. This entire place is leased by the Anima corporation from the Scil Phin. No one knows how much Anima pays the Scil Phin for use of the place - if at all.

I can't beleave I didn't think to do it sooner.... but Aflae proposes buying out a section on the Nexus not only for Anima buildings, selling, trade, ect ect..... but to have a port there and a portal in the nexus to the Oner Comowe nexus.

>.<

Silly of me not to have done that.

Just should making sure not to buy out any areas that put anyone out, hurt anyone, or step on the toes of corprate alies/rivals will be the hard part. ^.^;;;;

NARRATOR:
It costs a bit of cash to buy property in Nexus, but buying the Portal rights is the real cost. However, Aflae is able to buy the rights to create Portals to any location not currently connected to Nexus, and she gets secondary Portal rights for the rest. For secondary Portal rights, she can't undercut the primary Portal rights holder, but then she's free to connect to anywhere. She also has unlimited Private Portal use. Finally, she needs Portal Creator Explosion liability insurance.
The costs are well within Anima's budget.

RESEARCH

RESEARCH
Doomsday Prepping:
Anima works toward Oner 0 evacuation procedures which are certainly not a part of this plot arc, so I'm not even thinking about them yet.

Rulab containment:
Magus user researchers are able to determine the enchantment used on the glass to protect it from rulabs. A sprinkling of magem dust is put in goodblood, and then the whole goodblood vial is poured on a pane of glass. That entire pane will be completely Rulab resistant, but still subject to physical damage.

Remove Magem dependency:
From people:
Magus user researchers working with Magus healers combine their efforts to replace Balur prosthetics with Magus-regrown flesh, including the fleshification of magem-micro-gear brains like Patrus and Kantoku (if they desire it).

From Anima assets:
Magus users of all sorts come together to work on solutions. The bunny-people have learned & adopted population growth control and are no longer reproducing too quickly to sustain. Magem powered metaltree-hybrids are easily converted to a Magus version where - instead of producing magusstone to power things, they just produce Magus directly and use it to power preprogrammed spells. Within a week, the full functionality of a Magem Warren is convertable to Magus based equivalents. In the process, people begin discovering what appears to be naturally growing Magus mana crystals in Magus rich areas. These crystals allow access to spells in their categories.

From Portals:
Unimagus mages are contacted through searches made on the internet on Pskaena, and it is discovered that a group of no less than 7 Unimagus Users is required for Magus Portals to be made. Magus cooperation efforts stack fairly well, and are necessary for such high-level spells as Portal creation which requires such vastly complicated calculations to perform. Only a linked-hive-mind can accomplish such spells for most people. Groups are obtained, and one by one, all the Portals are replaced with Magus based Portals, which are more stable anyway, since they often program the space itself rather than forcing a shape on space like Balur does.

From Space Travel:
Anima R&D has been obtaining otherwise useless but interesting science and technology information from the Comowe for free, and supplemented by the Starfish Peoples' other sciences for small trade as a side project. It was useless before because of Balur-based-interference, but now that Balur is preoccupied elsewhere, tech is starting to work again.

Well nexus and comowe nexus don't have a direct link to each other I don't think...... if she let them and I forgot then she will see if she can buy up around the portal and buy the portal rites.... as in the long run it would be worth it.

I think the derect link to comowe nexus though was in scrapland or the life tree or something.....

She wants to open up one on a dock in nexus large enough for large ships to pass through.

a BIG BIG mass transit trade and transit portal.

Also after being told about people getting adicted to blood she will look into it, and once finding out about Malhemotin have the medical R&D look into a cure for it's addition.

Once the magus tree has generated some magus stones and Vial of Bonhemotin along with some good and bad blood to both the medical R&D and standard R&D to help them with there research.

Giving them from her supply and not the tree so she could tell them honestly she got them as payments when dealing with Magus and Sangwen, while she uses the tree to restock her own supplies.

Also was she able to create the magus metal like the shard metal?

magus metal

Magus is intended to be used. Magusstone can power preprogrammed spells or the spells of whoever is using the item created with it.

You could infuse metal with Magusstone, but the magusstone in the metal would be used up once it was utilized, and unless there was a preprogrammed spell attached to it, it would be available for the taking by anyone who had it.

However, you could probably cast a Magus-related spell on metal for whatever effect.

so metal with special properties granted by magus stone would brake up if those properties where activated...

what about trying to use spells to control how good blood affects the trasformation of materials into better ones to create materals with special properties?

A Sangwen could do that, and the person who was given the blood by a Sangwen could influence it.

One could also just cast spells on the metal directly. It all depends on the effect you want.

I don't know any such races, so it isn't an existing race from an existing franchise. The feather is like a normal bird feather.

Aflae discovers that it is a known race of humanoids who originate from another Oner and from Oner 0 (intermarriages between the two groups). The race is Magus sensitive, especially Verimagus, Formagus and Imagus. The colour of their feathers is related to hair colour. It is nothing like the actual angel feather other than superficial appearance.

Well using Verimagus tries to look back into the history of the feather to see if it belongs to the black winged man too.

Makes sure to do it this way as not to try and trace it back to him directly as that might alert him.

Don't try and look INTO the past that is though... but into the after image of the past....

again... don't want to do any active probing if possible >.<

Oh yah.... Puts in a request to Arbaelf for help dealing with the wardens speaking to Arbanna to offer to pay her and a team to travel to Leporid to try and sold the problem seeing if they can get the wardens to care about the people and protect them spiritually.

Or come up with some other alternative to help with the mounting spiritual situation on Leporid, and assest if this will happen with any world a warden is used on or if this is just a retaliation by dark spirits due to them interfering with there breeding grounds.

If she can she compare the aura of the feather to the grave of the warf.

Now that she has the feather she can use Verimagus to see the black winged man and the warf where both bodies for the necromancer. Had a mild suspition before being told there was another body of his she saw.... but having been told that she has to check. Knowing it's just one person not two would make her feel better.

Ah, I should've said this earlier. Upon reflection, Aflae remembers that the souls she saw around Agarator are different souls from the ones she heard around the Portal Waif - she's not sure how she knows, but she's certain of that now that she thinks of it.

Posted here by GM:

quote:
Oh yah... she cusses a lot.....

When she's done she just sorta ingores the dragon for now.... Holding up a hand while she gets comuncations open with Stella and various Anima reps.

To RnD "I'm having a sample of a creature called Rulab sent to you. It's contained... reverse engineer how it's contained and devise a method of storing Magem or quarantine people with a dependence on Magem to live in a Rulab free environment. I'll send you notes on everything we know about them."

To Ducky and medical RnD "We need a way to treat people who are dependant on magem so they can live with out it, and we need it fast. One that don't need magem."

To stella and Arbaelf "Ok I know I just sent you to work on the spirit war but I need your help on re-tooling the wardens, tree-ships, and comway-nexus superstructer... First get them to shut down as quickly as they can as they switch to no longer using magem.... even if the magem alge in there sap dies the trees should be fine, but they will lose various functions so they will have to adapt to using other methods. Warn all the spirits of the wardens what is happening and what they will have to deal with... send a software patch to the ships with emergancy prasidures should they lose magem functionality.... have all ships grow solar leaf sails now, but keep them folded around the ship as a procotion and warn there owners agenst interstellar travel if Rulab activity rises." She also makes sure stella works something out to shut down her work in her own personal star system.... just flat out shutting it down letting it go cold for now. (unless the magem in them cna be used to attack the rulab untill equlibrum is reached sorta thing.. .then that because thats better than just letting them eat it all up and growing =p)

To scrapland and magem farming "Concentrate on the collection and conversion to void shards, as soon as we have a viable means of storing it from RnD I want a stockpile of void shards"

She talks to ValAnnna too "Hun, you still busy? I need you to stop by that place we stayed at with the nice view and the ghost cat and look up some names for me..... and maybe make a trip to talk to some high up mages for me..... seam some one tried to end the magus / magem war with full magem genocide... regardless of how much that fucks everyone over."

Also has stella run calculations on how long it will be untill the end of the univurse and looks into Hiring an Unimagus mage cappable of creating stable portals and locking them down into a contract before anyone knows about this and starts sniping the best ones. I know there will be a LOT of CEO (5/5) rolls.... she will pump CEO two or three times for this though..... she will fight tooth and nail to get a good deal in getting a good solid stable contract with an Unimgagus mage.... besides they can teach her.....    (if she can get ValAnna to find the names cheed and sooth where talking about... she will start with the unimage from that list)

But she general stays there making contacts to try and get Anima set to deal with the aftermath... treating this as a compleat loss of all magem senario (EI ... preapare for the worst case senario, but hope for the best) She will let everyone (who's high up) know whats going on with as much details as they can trusting them only to let people know who they think it's reletive to know though... making sure they know this could cause wide spread panic if people knew exsactly what was going on.  They are to prepare for mass relief efforts, the loss of power to magem drives and portals, and the possable need to evacuate oner - 0 with out magem ships and portals.

This was a hudge fucking pain.

Will also have research done in magem space travel incase the problem can't be solved quickly enough.

That or see if it's possible to trade with those ... what was it crab or jellyfish people?  I don't remember.... that had technology based warp travel.

Hell....

Dose the internet on Pskaena have any tech for space travel or portals? Or a base for them to research such?

>.>

Also have them store large quantities of each type of shard in these storage unites and purify them of the creatures, consedering they may need it... and it is quite litterly used as money. Also removing and containing the V.I. of her ship the same way.  (with out telling anyone it's an V.I.  >.> )

As for all the money they will be losing from relief efforts (again) to making sure they can possibility redistribute magem assets if they have to. Will just sell safe storage vats for the magem dust to rich people for a bit at rediculous prices... before releasing the information to the public on how to do it.

Yah >.> again screwwing over rich people but hey =p

Okay, thank you for the reminder.

They get the treatment figured out by looking at the similarities of those who have recovered. It is an enlightenment experience that cleanses the person of their addiction.

Malhemotin causes its users to desire more malhemotin due to a spiritual phenomenon. An enlightenment experience, a vision of the love of All or the love of all or any other shift in the person's "3 things" where something other than the self becomes so important that the self becomes unimportant causes this change. Unfortunately, although patients can be placed in situations where they'll be more likely to experience this, it can't be simply caused and has to be sought after and waited for in the psychological posture of the seeker. The person has to want to change, and be humble enough to see that they are not the most important person in their own life.
