0H. Ho, ho, it's magic, you know
Bozon studied hard, trying to pick up what elf court customs and etiquette were, along with more of what they did (and didn't) find funny. He enjoyed the games with the children, and tried to subtly work in ways to help them (well, help Tine, as Jen was already a bookworm) with schoolwork.

When Tine asked Bozon about the delegation, the big clown was puzzling over a prop (from his carpetbag) that he'd taken apart, trying to figure out how it worked to begin with. He paid attention, listening, and ran his fingers over his beard thoughtfully as he considered it. While personally, he didn't much want to go back to that place, it would be a good learning experience for Tine he realized. Education in diplomacy, negotiations, and economics all seemed likely as he saw it. Additionally, the people of that empire might need proof that King Joe would not be back, which they both had in their memories from that encounter and how it ended.
It did not take long to decide, and he pantomimed packing up and pretending to leave with an exaggerated walk. Then looked back at Tine to see the young prince's reaction.
His advice? Let's go.
