Re: OOC: Table Talk ONE

Just a warning guys that Saliq is running low on magic, at least more potent magic - I have no 3rd level slots left and only one 4th level which I'm saving for an emergency.

Re: OOC: Table Talk ONE

I got the first half, then I was pulled away by other priorities, and now I'm feeling sick.

Gonna put what I got in a spoiler...

Spoiler text: (Highlight or hover over the text to view)
I WRITE TO YOU TODAY TO INFORM YOU OF A   CHANGE IN OUR POSITION AND TO ACCEPT YOUR   OFFER PREVIOUSLY MADE IF IT STILL STANDS.    WHEN YOU INTRODUCED YOURSELF AND YOUR PLANS   TO US SEVERAL YEARS AGO, I MUST ADMIT, MUCH  OF WHAT YOU WERE PROPOSING THOUGH DEEPLY TO (BE) WISHED FOR IN HEARTS, SEEMED FANCIFUL  AND BEYOND THE REALM OF LIKELIHOOD. WHILE WE WERE HAPPY TO ACCEPT THE TERMS YOU OFFERED IN EXCHANGE FOR US ACTING AS YOUR    COURIERS AND AT TIMES YOUR EYES IN WARS, YOUR  ACCOMPLISHMENTS OVER THE PAST YEAR HAVE BEEN  ASTONISHING. IT IS WITH HUMILITY THAT I  MUST ADMIT I WAS WRONG IN MY RESERVATIONS   TOWARDS YOUR, AND OUR OWN, ULTIMATE GOAL.   IT IS WITH A FERVENT HOPE THAT YOU WILL  FORGIVE THIS OLD MANS

Re: OOC: Table Talk ONE

Sorry folks, I went out of town a few days to see my niece in a musical, she is only 17 but already accepted to a University that specializes in theater production, she is really very good, that is a completely unbiased Uncle's opinion of of course.  I'll get a post out tomorrow, thanks for the patience.

What play was she is? Is it a part we might be familiar with? Grats on what I assume is a scholarship, hopes it's a full ride.

Re: OOC: Table Talk ONE

More of chorus part this time in Suessical the Musical, good production though.  Her best roles have been the Narrator from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Raincoat, Elizabeth in Young Frankenstein, and she is about be the Baker's Wife in Into the Woods.

Re: OOC: Table Talk ONE

I have updated the treasure and xp's thread.  Please feel free to post in the interludes thread for any general actions you want to take in town, or you can always gather the Cantrip for a drink, or the old rusted nail.  I also posted the translated full letter you found under adventure maps.

Agreed.

And I also vote for bonus experience for Saliq (for inventive spell use) and Ben (for crackerjack deciphering skills).

I've been on vacation and expected lots of opportunity to post to this game, but I've been a bit tied up. Yes, let's go to the pub. Thanks, Ben, for decoding.

Re: OOC: Table Talk ONE

Very good post Ben, hard to follow indeed!!

BTW, that Ben did some things outside my post moving the action to the tavern, don't let it throw you, in the end, the same was accomplished, your treasure is safe, you are the Cantrip, not messy, not bleeding, same evening, I won't quibble the small details, if anyone else wanted to change or bath first, that is fine too, I was just trying to get everyone round the table.

Re: OOC: Table Talk ONE

GM Bard could you give me a few names and positions at the Wizard's Guild so Saliq will know who to talk to in the Guild?

Re: OOC: Table Talk ONE

Azuth the Red is the leader of the Wizards Guild, a very elder human
His First, is El'Haridelh, a much older true elf

They the only two wizards of the order that Saliq knows are above him in level.

Galadel is close.

The only other Illusionist of note is Maris Starr, not yet to his fifth level but skilled.

Lissa Silvermoon is a friend to everyone, a beautiful half elf who both a MU and healer.

Derien is the doorwarden, and seems to know a lot.

Dorck'tal is a gnome, and though only of third order in mu and illusionist, he is the libarian, and a huge student of the library, and probably the most reliable source for research, or bouncing ideas off of for new magic items.  He has the gnomish knack for invention.

Re: OOC: Table Talk ONE

One of the things I love about D&D is that you'll stumble across some obscure creature and suddenly realise what you can do with them.

I'm in a 5e game on another forum and a Pseudodragon has just shown up, which made me read up on them. Fascinating creatures, telepathic, cat sized dragons with human level intelligence. So I had an idea for an entire civilisation of the things living out in the middle of the jungle in a ruined human city, a bit like King Louie and his apes in the Jungle Book (only much more draconic.) Being so small you could support a pretty large population in a tribe, maybe give them a leader, even a shaman.

Then you have the next ruin over which is where the corrupted Pseudodragons live, serving a Green Dragon that has been slowly recovering from a battle which nearly killed it years ago and has promised its little servants it knows the magic to make them full dragons, if only they could help it for a while...

Anyway, just an idea I was toying with. :)

Will do, though it might be quite a while! I'm afraid I'm much better at the idea stuff than the hard work.

Updated my IC post.
