Fun Games and Mad Science - Rules

This is not a freeform game, instead being run in the Tales From the Loop system. Additionally, this game has aspects of collaborative storytelling. This does create a few important rules however.

1. Do not write an outcome to your actions. Write as much detail as you wish on what you plan to accomplish and how.

2. The GM will determine all outcomes and results of actions taken.

3. Do not write any reactions for NPC's or other PC's. Let them react to your actions.

4. I expect a post every few days at least. Please give notice if you are going to be gone for longer.

5. Each post should at least be a few sentences long, preferably at least a paragraph. Any spoken dialogue should be written with quotation marks and in a color, "like this." If possible, try to "show" your thoughts through actions along with the narration.

6. Try to keep OOC statements out of In Game posts whenever possible, although if they are truly necessary write them in orange. Try to use private lines instead if it is feasible.

7. Avoid metagaming whenever possible. Make plans IC instead of OOC please. This will help to foster more organic character interaction.

8. This game takes place in an older, less enlightened time and in a, while mostly whimsical and lighthearted, still sometimes problematic setting. Thus, issues such as classism, racism, sexism, and other discriminatory ideologies may exist in the setting. Know that any comments, or actions taken by characters  in this game do not reflect my or any player's actual feelings or reality. Any discriminatory behavior out of character will not be tolerated.

9. There are many points where Collaborative Storytelling will come into play, these will be called out with either italicized text or a private line/message.

9. After joining the game, make sure to choose a portrait for your character. You probably won't find one that's perfect, but you should be able to find one that fits at least decently.
