Re: Dark Side of the Moon - The Moon

Your tangler grenades go out as the door on the shuttle is closing.  You manage to catch two out of the four in the grenades, including the mechanic.  The other two KLC guards roll out of the way of the grenades and escape.

They point and gesture, and then you realize what is happening.  They are moving somewhere under the shuttle where the shuttle's cameras cannot see what they are doing.

You are all inside the shuttle with the door closed.  One KLC guard and one female KLC engineer are trying and failing to get loose from the tangler grenades.

The other two remain out of sight somewhere around the shuttle.

"Not bad," Porter says as he pushes the button to re-open the door and once again puts on his gas mask. "But I don't like those two crawling around, maybe damaging the shuttle. Let's go get them."

He hoists his machinegun and prepares to chase after them.

OOC: When the door opens, he will go out and, if there's a clear shot at one of the guards that is unlikely to damage the shuttle, he'll blast the guard with a concentrated burst.

"I guess we've made a decision!  Screens on if they aren't and mask up.  I'll toss a doze grenade out to start the action.  Pair up out the ramp and then spread out and don't bunch up!  Let's get this over with," Desiraye says as she makes sure that her screen is up and her laser rifle is set (10 SEU/Shot) to deal out some business.

Once the ramp is opened, Desi will toss out at least [1] Doze grenade.

Re: Dark Side of the Moon - The Moon

As the shuttle deck comes down to give you access, you realize it is too slow.  It gives plenty of warning to the two commandos hiding underneath.  By the time you toss the grenades and begin firing, they are sprinting across the crater to the wall where they appeared from.  You realize that it must be another of those hologram walls.

Your doze grenade does, however, knock out the three commandos on the ground who were already entangled.  Your firing rifles and lasers do not hit the mark, except for one shot from Desi which hits one of the commandos in the leg just before he disappears behind the hologram.  You find a sense of satisfaction in hearing him cry out in pain and then stumble through the hologram.

"Let's hope they didn't sabotage the ship any more than it already is."

As Hammer and Orvo race to the hologram wall to chase after the commandos, Porter circles under the ship where the two soldiers were hiding, looking for bombs or other signs of tampering with the ship.

Desiraye shouts to Hammer and Orvo, "Take 'em alive if you can.  If you can't, handle your business accordingly!"

Desiraye moves near Porter and covers him with her rifle as he does his inspection.  "Let's hope they were just taking cover Sarge."

"Doc, S'Krllk! See if you can get any of the instruments on the ship working. Scanners, anything. Copy?" Desiraye says into her comm unit While covering outside the ship.

As S'Krllk continues his attempts to make the ship do something, he comms back, "are you sure? Maybe our time would be better served replacing these deplorable throw rugs."
This time, he manages to catch the right tone and it's a fair certainty he's not serious.

Re: Dark Side of the Moon - The Moon

Hey, all.  Since now rejoining my prior firm, I can now post pictures/maps again.  Enjoy.

Hammer and Orvo move to the hologram cave entrance.  As soon as Hammer looks in, he sees the two commandos by a security/airlock door.  One of them tosses a grenade...

Then they both duck behind the door and close and lock it.

Orvo ducks and manages to dodge the grenade.  Hammer is not so lucky.  It is a tangler grenade, and he finds his metallic body and frame covered and immobilized by the sticky strings.

Meanwhile, Porter is searching but finds nothing unusual underneath the shuttle.  Desi guards but finds nothing out of the ordinary.  The three other commandos are still unconscious.

S'Krllk keeps fiddling with the shuttle.  It will definitely need the repaired parts before it will fly.  However, he does manage to pull up this schematic with coordinates.

He is able to use his skills to determine that the coordinates are the shuttle's current position and a position somewhere on the moon Artemis.  He also manages to unlock a number of security codes to give clearance and access to whatever that is on the moon.

Once Porter is clear from his checks, Desiraye will go to the prisoners, disarm them all, strip them of all defenses and secure them with cuffs, rope, et. all of what may be handy.  She will then go through their belongings for any Intel as well.

Re: Dark Side of the Moon - The Moon

Note that this might be difficult for Desi because they are not only unconscious from the doze grenade, but also are entwined in the sticky tangler grenade used previously.  She will need to either use solvaway to get rid of the tangler (which will take some time) or figure out another option.

When no more attacks come from the hologram wall, Porter comes up to the area. He looks at the captured guards and the engineer, and at Hammer. "I've got one bottle of solvaway. Should I use it to get this engineer out and fixing the ship, or on the Big Guy?"

Porter looks at his skiensuit's cargo pockets for the solvaway, and notices something. "Only one frag and one doze grenade left. I need to re-arm before we blast off for the moon."

BIC: "Engineer first and see if you can't persuade her to help us out a bit Sarge.  Kind of like in 'Her best interest if she wants to see this through' kind of deal!

We'll resupply before we take off.  I'm going to check on the other two."

Looking to make sure Hammer is ok and its only a tangler grenade.  Orvo rushes through the hologram-A large wrench in one hand and his laser pistol in the other "Once more unto the breach...." he utters before pushing through looking for a target to schwak with the wrench.

OOC:  I know they locked the door, but Orvo wouldn't have known that.
