Im looking over the e-zines, well put together I must say.

Boss would I need robotics skills to set the preset programs on a courier bot Mag#16 pg 63?

Also I would really like a cross between a Medical bot (mag #4) and an autodoc (mag#8). Something that is mobile (robotic) and would give me the ability to perform minor surgery in the field. Without being able to do surgery all I ever will be able to do is first aid (WOW!!! heheheh). Something like a mobile field hospital for one victim...heer subject..

And I have a nice wish list started assuming we will have the funds.

I thought, per the rules, you could perform minor and major surgery in the field? My recollection is that there is a bonus if you do it in a hospital, but that a trained medic could perform surgeries anywhere as long as he has a medkit?

I'm open to things that will help your characters improve use of their skills.  I am thinking of some kind of device, or bot, that will help him do "quick" fixes in the field, instead of taking a long time.

I do not recall any times listed for surgery but I would suggest something like 1 hour per 10 STA. Anything that would let our Doc beable to do surgery would be very helpful.

Im looking thru the rules again and I can not find it anywhere where it says surgery must be done in a hospital.

Pg 12 AD says you get the +20% for a hospital/sickbay

and pg 28 AD under recovering wounds says:

Field Surgery. A medic can perform minor or major
surgery on a wounded character to heal more than
10 points of damage. Surgery is described in detail
under SKILLS: Medical.

Field Surgery. Field surgery can save a character
whose Stamina was not reduced below -30 if a
staydose was used to preserve the character;
surgery will not help a dead character.

I updated my beam weapons to level two...12 exp spent. Now its time to start using that ambidexterity with twin laser pistols... :) Watch out world as i'm sure there will be plenty of burn marks on the walls!

If i recall correctly< i don't think we had time to take any of our stuff off when we got back to the Moneyspider so all of us should have our Chillsuits on.

OK, couple of questions before we die,

1. Do we have to make RS rolls for laser weapons?
2. What are other options for hiding beyond the shuttle?

1) According to the rules a reaction speed check is required for any melee or ranged weapon, so the answer is "yes."  (Frankly, they didn't do much to make weightless combat as interesting or deep as it could be.  If the starfrontiersman has modified rules there, I'd be happy to look at them.)

2) Hiding?  Well, there's fighting, getting past the security lock...but even hiding won't do much good because the ice cutter robot can cut through it all to get to you with its powerful laser.  If you can rush past them all and into the ice caves, you could possibly lose them for awhile...but I don't know about 11 days.

2. OK, that's a little clearer for me.  We have to get by them to get into the caves.  I know I/we aren't going to last 11 days.  That sniper rifle I wanted looks real good right now with the damage using your skill rating.  first things first....

One thing everyone notices that is different about the sapes is they all seem to have mechanical devices surgically implanted on one sides of their heads like half size football helmets.

There are a couple people who don't seem to have been posting recently.  I just threw in this final battle for a sense of closure, to add zero gee dynamics and because you never really got to fight the sapes.  Also as a segue since the next adventure, as you probably guessed, has to do with that downloaded message.

Hopefully, Bartja's doing okay on the sidelines making a perfect character...

I know that Desi suggested putting down the Sapes when they encountered the problems they may have with them.  I think the whole group should support euthanasia now!

I think Bartja is updated and ready to roll...except spiffy equipment.  I haven't pressed that issue since you did hint that the equipment list probably wouldn't matter where we're going.....

To be more clear, the party's current equipment won't really matter and they'll all have to start from scratch.

So it will matter if you want to look into that.

Still here, just hard to get involved in a game I came into 4/5 of the way thru with an unfamiliar character.  Waiting for the game to end so I can bring in my new one.

We've got to work with the non-military types when/if we make it out of here as far as weapon skills go.  I'd also like to get Desi up a little more in her Tech skill after a couple of more military skill bumps.
