I'm guessing about 2-3 more rounds and we're all done.  Everyone post your moves.  If you want to post multiple moves at a time, that's fine too.  I'd like to start the next adventure next week.

Desi:  I know the waiting is hard, but I've also had to get working on the adventure coming up, so I also needed some time to prep.

We are now (finally) finished with Bugs in the System.  As I mentioned, the next adventure is a sort of segue.  I may try to do a hybrid by incorporating my own adventure into Dark Side of the Moon (a two for one deal).  I think that may keep things intriguing and moving quickly.  I may actually make more modifications than I have to past published adventures.  Still working on it though.

I'm traveling a lot over the next two weeks.  However, please feel free to reacquaint yourselves and catch up.

I may post.  It just depends on the hotel and my schedule.

Going back to a previous conversation, if you had ideas about things we discussed -- symbiote, cyborg, etc., etc. -- then let me know of anything you desire.  I won't make promises, but your characters will soon have an encounter that will make those things possible.

And also...if you really don't want anything strange like that to happen to your character, make that known as well.

I have also been thinking about targeting systems. Nearly every game system out there now set in the near future has some form of smartlink weapon system that allows you to use target acquisition software to aid in your shot placement. A simple +10% bonus for such systems is typical.

Any thoughts on something like this? In essence such systems would also speed up combat as well as everyone including the enemy is more likely to hit their targets.

Just in case I forgot to mention it, last week and this week, I am traveling on business so my internet access is low.  Just in case you're wondering about delays...

feel free to come up with ideas for your characters though.  I'll parse them out and figure something out.

I'm sure that our GM has plans for us but, as a group/team, does anyone have any suggestions on how we would like to proceed?

- Do we need some kind of internal structure or leadership?

- Do we need unit standards (weapons, gear, logo, name)

Please feel free to chime in.  Just trying to get some conversation going to see where the team is going until we are ready to start.

Being relatively non-combatant, I don't see Bartja as a leader.  If we're going to have a chain of command per se, he would be a grunt.

A Unit standard would be convenient when it comes towards the end of available ammo, although it stifles the characters individuality quite a bit.  We may not all have a skill in Beam Weapons for example.

Since the Space Pirates even had their own name and logo, I'm all for this idea!  What did you have in mind?  Do we not work for a corporation already that will require us to wear their logo and work under their name?

I didn't want to get too crazy with standardized weapons Bartja.  I believe in individuality in what the PC's want for themselves even down to the suits and screens they used.

Being a non-combatant doesn't mean that one can't be a leader.  I think the PER/LDR scores should come into play when deciding that as it would certainly help in dealing with perspective customers or employers.

No, we haven't been hired but, having a logo or business card certainly couldn't hurt our efforts down the line.

We have lots to discuss on how we all want to proceed.

I'm sort of pushing S'Krllk into Dr. McCoy's role. You guys can be Kirk and Spock and go get beat up by the mean aliens (of course, you also get to romance the other mean aliens) while I kind of step in and clean up while mentioning that I'm a technician, not a cricketeer.

By weapon standards I was kind of going with everyone has a personal pistol & or rifle of their choice according to their skills.  I don't want to go nuts but, want to make sure the characters have their individuality.

And, like I've mentioned before, some PC's are going to have to work on upping their weapon skills since (for now) I'm the only one with a Military PSA.

This particular encounter is to let you meet the new character joining the group:  Hammer.

When you are ready to move past it, I will progress it forward.  Meanwhile, Bartja can have fun turning off the lab robots.
