There are some great attempts out there to update SF, but it looks like Wizards (aka Hasbro) squashed a lot of the websites for copyright infringement.

I just turned 50 in November so I'm not helping the average much...



Because this format stretches time out so far...I may have forgotten what our original goals were.  Here's what I recall at this time:
1) Rescue the Captain
2) Examine the shiny thing in the river
3) Help the crash victims (did we already do this?)

Whatever we do, we should return to the aircar and see if we can get it repaired.  Much faster travel around this rock to meet the timelines that are rapidly ticking away.

I am happy to be able to start posting.

Can you guys each give me a basic understanding of what I would know about your characters. I have been reading some of the threads leading up to this point. But, in the interest of time it would help.

GM - could you also give me an idea of how I came to be on the planet and ultimately at the recovery site etc.

As for me. Real name is Tom and I am playing Gregor Trask, people just call him Gregor. Gregor is a dralisite environmentalist/psyco-socialist and basic technician.

I am John & play Desiraye (usually just Desi).  She & Bartja are the only original PC's left since we did the Volturnus series starting this game off.

Desi is/has been the 'Leader' so to speak of the group for quite sometime.  Since Porter got a new player, he has been in charge of military tactics for the team.  Desi is very skilled in weapons but, lacks actual military training.

Please Fit yourself in where you see your character doing so.

Porter is off to work other issues.

Technically, S'Krllk jumped in during Volturnus, but I'm a bit flaky about keeping the poor bug active.

It would be good to have everyone formally introduce themselves in the main thread. The four newcomers were all part of the rescue mission under Captain Dentin. They know next to nothing about the Qantariate, the Sathar threat here, or anything that happened to any of you since they are on a need to know basis.

As you know, Dentin's ship was shot down from a Sathar threat, and Dentin and 4 of his crew were taken north. Two hid out and were not captured, and the two newcomers were briefly captured but managed to escape the Sathar before being rescued by Junior.

Now, the rescuees have rescued the rescuers and brought them back to the Moraes, which still needs significant repairs to fly again. But the Qantariate threat is imminent now, and seems to originate (or will originate) from Mahg Mar (this planet).

This adventure combines the published module "Face of the Enemy" with my original continuation of the Qantariate interdimensional threat and their collaboration with the Sathar.

I'm looking forward to playing with everyone and having read through all most of the postage I think there is an awesomely solid core here.

While I used to play (and run a few) a lot more pbp, I've been dipping my toes back into it (and switched my weekly face to face tabletop game over to Roll20 for this past year).  So I'm well aware of the glacial speed of the format, but I generally have the freetime to make a post or two daily as desired.

I'm pretty much a grognard when it comes to pen & paper rpgs and still have my well loved box sets of Star Frontiers (that I dug out from the attic in nostalgia recently) that I've had when I used to run this game (when it was new) for my friends when I was in middle school.

So I see...

Somewhere along the way, Bartja has lost sight of his mission in life.  He should have higher medical skills than he does, but that's the nature of adventuring!
