Re: Shameless Plug

In reply to Lucas Rowland (msg # 39):

This answer is terrible timing, I realize. I'll answer the question nonetheless.

There is more than one way to get a critical hit. For example, some of these guys get critical hits when they strike at a target's back due to their martial arts training. A natural 20 rolled + a strike to the back would be a double-critical and thus result in x3 damage.

Wrestlemania

Ethan has the short little vampire pinned to the ground. The monster foolishly went close for a bite instead of pushing Ethan away. I forgot about the initiative penalty that this vampire was supposed to take, but it isn't long for this world anyway.

Just so I'm clear; Ethan turned the entire vampire into dust? Or just a part of him? Like his chest?

Not that I'm complaining whatever he just did! I just want to know what the scene looks like for his next post.

Yes, it looks that way. Ethan cannot see under the priestly robes, but he vampire's flesh did turn to dust from his head, and his bones cracked a little.

Does it still have one of my arms pinned behind my back?

Oh, that's the issue. No, the vampire no longer had Ethan pinned in any way whatsoever.

Re: Wrestlemania

good luck with work!

regarding our thread. i just looked back and couldn't find a distance between the coffins, just that they're spread around the room. am i able to reach any of the other coffins with the club in my hand (or rather the people getting out of them) while i'm at this one, or are they too far?

Re: Wrestlemania

Good question, the answer is no. Lucas would need some weapon a lot longer than his ugly stick to reach another target.

are we supposed to be posting an entire round of actions, or just a single attack's worth? i thought we were doing whole rounds, but the thread's post title suggests just a single attack.

I posted a whole melee a few posts back and realized that the GM just used my first or second actions.

Re: One Armed Bandit

Do it however your prefer. I can work around it. I appreciate that this is not the only game you guys play, and giving you a set of strict posting instructions for every game would just be unreasonable.

Re: One Armed Bandit

ha. i'm ok with either way, as long as i know. i've been posting a whole round each time, thinking each round they're used. if i only need to make and post a few rolls instead of a bunch each time, it would be easier. so if you're only going to use one attack action at a time, just let me know and that's what i'll do.

Re: One Armed Bandit

I know that feeling Ethan.  I was an assistant manager for a discount store and, twice, the manager quit.  Both times I was in the store from 30 minutes before open to 30 minutes after close every day, the first time for 5 months with six days off because I had to go to court over getting robbed at my previous job at a convenience store.

Re: One Armed Bandit

Oh, I love convenience store stories. I have not been robbed at a store yet, but I have been held at gun point while working at gas stations several times. It was the police holding me at gun point every time.
