Lucifer frowns at Mournful Topaz Seraphim's apparent vulnerability. It was no doubt true that things weren't great for the Abyssals - much less the throngs of mortals imprisoned under the Neverborns' yoke.
Still, context matters. This was no time for bleeding hearts. A battle was raging, he would address the plight of those held by the Neverborn later.
"Is that where you're from, a prison ship? It could explain your situation - and determination, how you've gained such power in such short time."
At the same time it lent credence to the theory that the Neverborn were corralling mortals in hopes of catching an Exaltation - and twisting it somehow, perhaps? Is that what had happened to her?
Either way, every moment spent here was time away from accomplishing the mission he was sent on. If not through physical force, he would force his will another way.
A moment of concentration, and Lucifer's Anima Banner flashes into being once more. But it doesn't stop there. As he continues, Essence pouring through his Anima, there's something... different... in the burning crown floating atop his brow. It seems somehow more captivating, more... Empyreal. So much so that the longer one looks, the stronger the urge to KNEEL becomes.
But there's more than suffocating, oppressive power in the light. It's not just the light of a conqueror, but that of a righteous man. A liberator and champion, not a tyrant.
