Larzander appeared to be confused by the creatures that were attacking the group. As he swung his sword at the newest threat he did his best just to maintain grip on his weapon..

OOC: Wow...that is some rough rolling

Boris...all three of your compatriots have frozen in place, glazed, vacant expressions washing over their faces.  Any posture of defense is forgotten as they begin to lower their weapons.  Slowly, they start to sway to the same macabre rhythm as the twisted bone creatures.

Ondrea, Stoney, and Larz all stand frozen in place, weaving from side to side, mirroring the strange movements of the creatures.  Seizing the opportunity they silently slither forward towards the group.  One of the them manages to reach Stoney and, rearing back, flies forward and sinks its' teeth into his shoulder.  Before the other can strike, Boris slides around to the side of it and chips several pieces of bone from the creature, bringing its attention fully around to him.  It lashes out at him savagely but he manages to avoid its' bite.

OOC: This round both Ondrea and Larz are now able to move again.  Stoney...you take 3 points of damage from the bite and I need yet another save vs. spells.

The sword seemed to have caused some damage, a solid strike.

At least one of them seemed to be distracted by him. Shield in one hand he darted in again to slash at the place where the skull joined the neck. This time he wasn't as lucky and the short sword slid off the slick, hard bone.

As Boris' blade is deflected off the slick, pearl white bone, Larz snaps to and begins swinging wildly.  In his anger, however, he failed to study his opponent and the creature dances around the enraged warriors' weapon.  Recovering herself, Ondrea spies the second creature just as it strikes poor Stoney.  Her strike is true, sending shards of rib like shrapnel through the air; the creatures back was nearly broken and it released its' grip upon Stoney.  Turning to face Ondrea, it reared up to its full height.  Stoney didn't budge...not a single muscle flinched as the monster withdrew it's gleaming fangs.

Moving around, Boris intended to finish off the creature facing Ondrea. Once it was dead, or dead-er, he could drag Stoney out of there. Boris timed his strike with Ondrea's attacks and moved around so that he was hacking at its spine from the rear.

Boris swung his blade up and then around, sword biting into bleached bone!

Seeing the snake creature attack his friend only served to enrage the barbarian further. He screamed out in anger and rushed to strike the thing with his two-handed sword. This time his strike was true, no amount of dancing or magic would allow the serpent to escape Larz wrath.

About time the barbarian carried his weight!!! Figures a critical hit on a snake...I hate snakes, especially dead ones...

As all three of you strike the bony serpent, it shatters into scores of pieces, sending debris and clouds of dust throughout the tiny enclosure.  The remaining horror slinks back slightly, eyeing the group, and makes a half-hearted lunge at Boris, snapping at the air wildly.  Pulling back, it rears upwards to a height at least a foot taller than the group.  It's hollow, empty eyes seem to gauge who among the group would be next.  Alas, poor Stoney remains silent, frozen in place with the same look of terror and dread that gripped him when first bitten.

Having done his part to destroy the beast threatening Stoney, Boris darted in and grabbed Stoney 1-handed by the tunic and commenced dragging him back behind his comrades. Hopefully out of danger!

Putting her shoulders and waist into it Ondrea makes an up swing at the beast and steps into the action to give her strike even more power. She does not have a chance to thank Boris for his act but mentally does so as she connects with the last monster.

As Boris grabs Stoney, he nearly falls over as Stoney is more like a statue.  His body remains in the same position...arms, legs, fingers...never a muscle flinching as he is pulled away from the battle.

Larz swings for the bleachers but the creature had kept an eye on him and it easily slide to the side.  This move, fortunately, put it directly into the path of Ondreas' attack and the strike lands clean and true.  The creature snaps in two with yet another shower of bone and dust.  Both halves collapse to the ground with the back half no longer moving whatsoever.  The front section, possessing the head, was still moving about but lacked any real mobility and more resembled a floundering fish pulled up on the docks.

Taking a deep breath the barbarian warrior took a few seconds to calm himself. He turned to face Ondrea and smiled. "You fought well." he said before turning to see how Stoney was. Larz walked over and knelt next to his friend.

"He doesn't look well." he commented looking over the man's wounds, and bandaging what he could. "That thing, whatever it was poisoned him by the looks of it. Hopefully the alcohol in his blood has diluted the poison enough it won't be fatal."

OOC: Bound his wounds and try and make Stony as comfortable as possible..

Brushing more bone fragments and dust from her hair Ondrea also spits the dust from her mouth. She then brushes off her clothes before realising something is wrong with their resident priest.
"Perhaps he is merely stunned and will come around in time ? She checks for his heart beat and if he is still breathing."
