Sorry, if you say plus two.. I add two, don't really know what you mean otherwise.  Always best to be specific.  Sorry, I have forgotten far more about D&D than I knew.

The Powers That Be:
That's why I had asked for quick roles not that long ago to determine initiative; 1d10 with lowest going first.  Did you want to use a different system?

No, now we know you want next turn init that's fine.

Initiative is 1d10 + WS (Weapon Speed), lower is better.

I'll admit I sometimes don't state things clearly in written form.  Tis the curse of the English language.

No worries!

Speaking of making subtext text, are we in a new turn? That is, Boris can attack again after the DEX check?

thanks,

Glad you are back, and you weren't waiting for one of us.  I had to double check it wasn't Stoney you were waiting on.

If you need a DEX check to keep up, Boris crushed it!

08:47, Today: Boris Underhill rolled 2 using 1d20.  DEX Check.

Stoney wakes up from under a chair in the corner of a bar.  Looking for the bar maid, and motioning.

"Hello.  Can I get another round, please, and for my friends too."
He buys a pint of ale for anyone still there, at the table with him.

They always leave. And now we're alone.

Josey Wales : When I get to likin' someone, they ain't around long.
Lone Watie : I notice when you get to DISlikin' someone they ain't around for long neither.

Yeah, Chief Dan George (a local) got all the best lines in that movie!

I have been running a Boot Hill game via Google Meet and we've also been watching a lot of western films to get into the mood. (We started with "Tombstone", then "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford", "The Magnificent Seven" (2015), "The Outlaw Josey Wales" and just watched "True Grit" (2010) tonight.)

We also watched "Paint Your Wagon". We've tended to favour the more realistic over cinematic. Mostly but not exclusively! That's the kind of game I am running, more or less.

Re: OOC

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance

Not only a good Western film, excellent view of how politics can become so powerful, a good man is coerced to live a lie.

My 2 favs of modern history- Silverado and Open Range. Not a giant Costner fan, but he's in both.
