Re: We meet over Coffee...

Ygraine smiles and dipped her head in a gesture of thanks to the servant who brought her the chilled glass of thick, amber-green liquid. She sipped at it, her smile broadening as the cool, sweet wine passed her lips and washed over her tongue. "That's a sound plan, your Grace," she says to the Duke, chuckling a bit as he talks of summoning the Kinain. There was no mirth in the sound nor was there disrespect, it was more something that betrayed the fact that she's just witnessing business as usual.

Now, when the Scathach spoke in such a dissembling manner to the Duke, a little guffaw escaped her. She waves the sound away with her left hand and nodded as she said, "I look forward to it. Roger, please lead the way." As she spoke she looked to see where he was so she could follow his him to wherever they were to meet the Kinain.

(OOC: http://vinepair.com/buy-this-b...to-warm-your-winter/ It's real, but suitably rare and wonderful for a sidhe to enjoy, no?)

Matthew smiles "This way milady!"  With practiced ease

Then takes her through a runabout route behind some buildings "Only made this trip as a pedestrian dont even know the street address}" he admits

after a bit... of going through 2 or 3 paths behind alleys and such, Roger smiles And points you to the social services office.

"She should be on the 3rd cubicle to your right once you go in" he offers

the office smells of banality, and almost tastes of Iron, though you cant see it anywhere specificly you'd almost swear it was all pervasive.

Bathsheba tenses at the banal aura. 'I hope I do not speak out of turn, but this place troubles me. Do you sense it too?'

Re: We meet over Coffee...

Ygraine falls in step with Rodger as he leads them through town taking a twisting and winding path. She chuckles and asks, "Are we hitting every one of this town's alleys today?" Her tone is playful and amused, not frustrated or petulant, and she flashed their guide a warm smile. As she approaches the building her nostrils are assaulted by the ozone like smell of Banality in the air. She nods in agreement with Bathseba's words, steeling herself for what they are about to face. "In for a penny..." she muses as she follows the directions she was given in her quest to find the aged Kinain. Instinctively, she works to avoid the worst of the Banality permeating this place, not wanting to be undone, but knowing her mission calls for this level of risk in order for her to succeed

Re: We meet over Coffee...

Well inside a lot of the people reek of banality, and seem totally ignorant of it.

the single light note, relatively speaking, is the woman you find, shes in her late 30s, but isnt quite as heavy with banality as the rest of the people here.

she has brown hair thats starting to gray, and is starting  to wrinkle a bit and put on more then a little weight but she is not yet obese.

She pauses seeing you turning and asking "Can I help either of you?"

Bathsheba, already regretting her situation, consoles herself that she'd want to be saved from such a state. 'Hello, I'm Elizabeth. This is my friend Ygraine,' she says, hoping that the Baroness will take the lead once introductions are over.

Re: We meet over Coffee...

Ygraine pasted a pleasant smile on her face as she made her way to the cubicle she sought in the maze of mundanity and dead dreams. She  gives the Kinan the once over and feels bad for the sorry state she's been left to wallow in. She nods as the social worker speaks then nods when Elizabeth introduces them both. She holds out a hand to the woman with brown and grey hair and says warmly, "I do hope so, I've a family matter that's... delicate... and I was told you are the one I should come to for help with it." The Baroness' tone is gentle, but just a touch anxious, as if she was troubled but trying to cover it up with grace. For the moment, she was cloaking the truth in ordinary words as a kind of armor against the heavy atmosphere of banality surrounding them.

Ygraine sighs and nods, taking a seat and leaving Bathseba the one that will best allow her to keep watch.

"I'll be honest, I'm new in town. Just arrived, actually," Ygraine admitted easily with a little toss of her hair. "I'm the aunt in this picture," she shares, scotching her seat a little closer to the social worker so she could lower her voice. "I'm really worried about some cousins and nephews of mine. They're good kids, mind you, but have become a bit of a handful. I'd like to help my sister out because recently, she's gotten in over her head, I'm afraid," the Sidhe Baroness explains as she bumps her knee against the Kinain's and imbues her with some of her Glamour. "You may know her, she's with Duke. He's just as concerned about the kids as I am," Ygraine says meaningfully then gives the Kinain a moment to resettle into how things really are now that Banality's hold on her is weakened.

Re: We meet over Coffee...

she blinks and eyes you for a second taking everything in as all her memorys become available again.

"Usualy Im only enchanted on weekends" still a little bit dazzled then "I'd be happy to discuss issues with you at length shall we adjourn someplace private to do so?" goes over to her desk to get 2 small boxes from her desk.

one has a moderately expensive Tarot Deck, with hand drawn cards...

the other has some assorted pebbles that you can sense, even against the banality of this place shine with glamour

Grateful for the plan to head somewhere more private, Bathsheba nevertheless keeps a keen eye on their surroundings.

Ygraine chuckles and nods as the other woman speaks in such a daydreamy tone after she enchants her. "Blame me for poking my nose into things," She says self deprecatingly. Then she  casts a casual glance at the items the Kinain gathers up, impressed that they seem to have retained their connection to the dreaming in so dreary a space. "Lead the way," she invites the social worker while nodding in agreement with Bathseba. "Oh, do you have a business card, I'd like to be able to keep in touch," She said in an earnest tone as she walks out of the cubicle in the company of the two women.

Bathsheba tilts her head in a restrained nod. 'Of course. I use the diviner's Art myself. I'm always curious to see how others See.' She too notes the Dreaming-tinged items Martha has. 'It's surprising how the Dreaming touches things around us.'

Ygraine chuckles and bows her head, indicating she will grant the Kinain her request. She smiled as Bathsheba spoke then said, "Dreams have ways that of touching our lives and leaving behind mementos to mark the occasion. I am curious to learn how your tools came to you," she said to the harried social worker as she lead them from the offices she worked in to somewhere she considered a safe place. The Baroness moved with the grace of a dancer and smiled with the warmth of the sun at her companions.

Re: We meet over Coffee...

Ygraine tsked at the words she heard her companions speak. "Now my heart is truly heavy, ladies. Youth's passing is nothing to be lamented nor declared. We are all bound to the sacred hoop of life, what is now will be again. My motto has always been, 'dum vivimus, vivamus!'" She says with passion adding fire to her eyes. Then she laughed a little and opened her arms to clap them about the shoulders of the two she walked with. "Sorry for climbing up on a soap box, but ennui is the undoing of any good soul," she said as an explanation but not an apology.

Then she looks from one to the other, casting an assessing eye over them both. Then with a resolute nod she looked to the kinain and said., "I'd invite you to begin your reading with Bathseba. I already know my story and have caught some hints at what's to come. So it would be more interesting to me to hear about our new friend then myself," she said in a self deprecating and slightly self-mocking tone.

Re: We meet over Coffee...

Matthew (Who I dont want to forget about pauses and asks Ygraine "If you accept me, can I ask for the exchange of oaths to be done before the duke? if thats not too much to ask."

hes both excited , and just the slightest bit nervous both at the prospect of joining an Ailils entourage, clearly the Tale of Ytralien and his madness has been heard by him.

Martha is doing her Reading on Elizibeth, with an Elaborate Tarot reading, clearly beinig so burdened with banality this is the only way she can invoke any kind of cantrip... but finally shakes her head "Your Dan is currently clouded, at least from me"

Sighing she Gets out one of her stones while looking at Ygraine focuses and it glows and then dissipates, and you feel even for all the banality within her, Glamour radiates outward from it... focusing her hands as she draws card after card

She pauses "I see it snowing around you, and you are comfortable amidst the blizard... you are unseelie" she pauses a little nervous then "But I know better then to distrust you based on that."

In her element, at least, Bathsheba says, 'And if I were to look at the Dan now, I wonder what I would see? Ennui isn't my thing either, as it happens. I am older than most who still dwell between the Autumn World and the Dreaming, but my faerie heart beats strong and proud. Perhaps my wandering has allowed this to be so, but I will not submit to banality easily.'
