So how is this reboot/continuation actually playing out? Did we settle on system/freeform? Are we submitting new characters?

What might I want to be putting in my character sheet? Or is it just for notes and what have you?

Put your entire RTJ in your character sheet for our mutual ease of reference, yes.

Yes, we're going 'freeform', in that we're going with a system that isn't wholly visible to the players - for example, most of you aren't going to know until later how your domains have increased some of your hidden stats, or how you're assigned a class that affects how easily you perform certain actions.

The main 'stats' in the game are determined by your equipment, and your abilities are determined by a mix of your domain choices and your feats/triumphs.

Like, Aran for example has a build that is highly resilient to psychological manipulation despite being a brawler (think Juggernaut from the X-men comics), and that extends to his realm being resilient to invasion by madness-cults. He's going to have an easy time finding Geists to battle and turn into strong Arms and Raiment, but isn't gonna have as much access to improvements to his Staff/Wand, Gauntlet, or Aegis.

Most of what your starting character sheet tells me is for Fire Emblem style leveling where you're going to have certain tendencies to advance some stats over others, but can also make unconventional choices if that's how you swing.

Like, when I'm looking at your character I'm counting up how often certain subjects are mentioned in your Feat/Triumphs/Domains and assigning rankings to your stats like:

ARAN

FIGHTING/ARMS: S-RANK
UTILITY/RAIMENT: A-RANK
KNOWLEDGE/AEGIS: C-RANK
MAGIC/STAFF: D-RANK
DEFENSE/GAUNTLET: D-RANK

If Aran fights a dude, and that dude is of the same tier, he's going to win flawlessly, barring a difference in equipment. Lower tier mooks? He's gonna cut through them. If you've seen his backstory, the guy is basically Guts from Beserk.

But he's not like Halley with her S-Rank in Aegis where he's gonna have more allies and lore thrown at him than he can really handle. That's not how he has built himself up.

Ok cool. I'm thinking I may come up with something new to start fresh. I did enjoy Threlody, but it's been a little while :P

The Kupli are definitely still around and so is TUOS, but I strongly approve of you going with a new character instead of reprising Threlody :) It will be lovely to have you back.

Hello there, a god of festivities and masquerades here looking forward to partaking in our little cosmos!

Interesting points about the stat examples you game for Aran, I was wondering how exactly our Feats and Triumphs would tie into our characters, but I'm content leaving that magic up to the Empress to sort out! Looks like we have an interesting mix of folks here, Caerden will be looking forward to hosting a soiree for everyone to get to know one another! (Once he learns he's a god for one thing and that there are others for a second matter!)

I'm working on the new character idea, but have hit some creative snags. It's still coming though :3

I'm unsure if it was somehow unclear in the rules, but *you* actually can decide what powers your Feats and Triumphs provide. They're equivalent to the Minor and Major powers of other Theos, just served with a good chunk of flavor text for my enjoyment and grounded in the world. I am equally happy to determine them for you, though!

Oh, I'll have to brainstorm about what precisely each of my Feats and Triumphs actually does in that case! I'll message you tomorrow with my initial ideas.

It greatly amuses me that I'm only certain of who is playing the fighter and the fact I'm not sure if I'm considered the rogue or the warlock!

Exciting mix of folks we have here!

Halley already seems to be doing quite godly things as she hammers out existences, weighs the life of powerful beings, and negotiates with primal forces!

I'm looking forward to getting the chance to see everyone mingle!

Everything Halley is doing is mostly happening because she left the "moon' portion of her RTJ with just the comment 'no moon yet'. I played that out into a little minigame :P

Once she's done with the Valley, people should be ready to start mingling!
