I'll take Tom Welling. :)

Oh, based on the Saurian's question, are we not using LUG's version of history? If we're going with Memory Alpha or something else (that established Centaurus as a human colony), Gian wouldn't have said what he did.

In my continuity, there was a native Centauran species, possibly transported there by the Preservers, but since Zephram Cochrane founded an Earth colony there and given the exceedingly close resemblance between Terrans and Centaurans it's a common misconception.

Hey

Wed it be possible to split the threads as the RP is getting rather cluttered.

Also, how long should we be waiting for folk before posting on?

We'll split the threads after your meeting with Cdr. Samson. As for how long between posts, I dunno - play it by ear.

A typical posting rule is every other day. Unless the GM sets up his game with a different, specific posting rate, then usually allow two days for someone to post, and if they don't, then move on.

That's pretty much become the standard for posting courtesy.

Shione - we're two separate crews, hon.   I don't see why folk can't investigate if they wish :-)   Star Trek is, after all, space exploration so....! :-)

It was more of my( and others at times) posting more quickly and not letting other catch up

Too many posts just gets in the way of a good flow of play for everyone

Separate crews or not

Just my opinion

Just as a note, Memory Alpha has a good list of all the regulations, et al, referenced on screen:

Okay, I'm lost.

I caught that the GM didn't want us to continue Gian and Shione's pre-flight scene, and I tried to adjust my fire to close out that discussion and shift to the en-route scene.

Now, we've retconned that Gian and Shione's conversation instead continued via comms? And the GM (as Mac) has changed our destination?

Help?

I think Cassy's plan is the best option

Anyone have an idea as to how we could maneuver the robot into position??

Gian and Shione could probably do the pushing.
As Engineers they would understand how and where on the Bot to apply the force to make it move

Lets talk about it

Argent, here's how the dice work:

The number of dice rolled is equal to the Attribute +/- applicable Edges. One die is always a Drama Die. The highest die is added to the Skill level to determine success. A routine task requires a roll of 7. More or less difficult tasks need higher or lower rolls.

If the Drama Die is a 6, the next highest die is added to it. If the adjusted roll is 6 or more higher than required to succeed, it is a Dramatc Success

If the Drama Die is a 1 and the roll is otherwise a success, there are usually no penalties, but if the roll is a failure and the Drama Die is a 1, then it's a Dramatic Failure and bad things happen. if the roll is exactly a success and the Drama Die is a 1, then the task succeeds but there are... complications.

But can I remember that the next time I need to roll?

So, if his Attribute was 2, he'd roll 2 dice (or possibly 3 dice if he had an applicable Edge), and he'd then add the HIGHEST roll to his skill rank. Now, one of the 3 dice he'd roll has to be designated as a Drama Die, right? The Drama Die isn't an extra one that he rolls?

So I roll 3 dice... 3, 5, 6. If the Drama Die rolled the 6, I'd add the 5 to the 6 for a 'roll' of 11, to which I'd still add the skill rank.

Have I got that right now?

Just wanted to check in. I am so sorry for being out of the game for so long. I've been in the last critical stages of getting my house ready to go on the market, and on top of all of that, my computer crashed at the beginning of the week. Hopefully things will slow down enough for me to jump back in once the GM is back to posting.
