Just Shione, for the time being. Although Nivran said he'd be back a month ago, he's since disappeared. Fast Tony is still having family issues, and Zedrick Sloane and Jonathon Clare are finishing their characters up. Jump in at any point, Argent.

I can wait until things settle down. It just wouldn't be right jumping in in the middle of Shione's story.

It's only Shione's story, as you put it, because her player was the only one actively playing and I wanted to wrap up the Cassy conspiracy. By all means jump in and we'll incorporate Argent into the action.

Well, the Shione storyline is winding up, and well be able to return to more multi-character story lines. Brian, Shione's player, is in the process of creating a new character to replace Shione on the new Atlantic class Runabout The new character will be Lieutenant Marissa Swain, the co-pilot and XO of the new Runabout. Steve and Dave, the new players, are supposed to be in the final stages of creating their characters, but if they don't get it done before Melissa swain is completed, we'll start the new ship up anyway and they'll join when they finally done. They're local, so I can beat them over the head to get done quickly.

Yep! A good old Stardate + Time at the beginning of the GM's posts would be really helpful, at least when the time/scene shifts.

Even a 'fast forward to...' might do the trick.

Well, the Away Team was undercover with an SI group in the Klingon city, and while they were scoping out one of the suspected subversive movements, they were attacked by real subversives. Once that was sorted out, they captured three of them, but suffered some non-fatal casualties. While these were being treated, the Captain debriefed the unwounded team members and introduced them to Billy (who was in semi-NPC mode just to get him introduced. Evidence indicates Romulan involvement, which Billy was able to confirm, as he recognised something Lt Sloane overheard—a particularly obscene Romulan insult. The officer who was injured (slashed with a poisoned knife) is now out of sickbay and the team is having a late supper and have a chance to get to know Billy.

They know little about him, just that he recently arrived at Dyson Base as part of LCdr Glaucus's First Contact staff, but Capt Samson has decided to assign him to work with the USS Thames II, an Atlantic class runabout's crew as he is knowledgeable about Klingons and speaks the TOS Klingon dialect Klingonaase (or tlhIngana'aS in modern thlIngan Hol) as well as Okrandian Klingon and Romulan (which comes as a bonus as they didn't know until now that the Romulans were involved). The entire Starfleet mission is now on Red Alert due to the presence of Romulans, and the Thames will return in a few hours to protect the Federation/Klingon diplomatic mission at BortaS city. Two members of the Thames's crew, a Caitian and a Mirak (analogous to Kzin), who could not have gone undercover as Klingons, are already assigned as Security to Ambassador Worf, Emissary Klaang and Dr. KeH'lef, the afore-mentioned diplomatic mission.

Anyhow, your timing is impeccable since I'd paused the game for the holidays, and since today happens to be the Orthodox Christmas, I've decided the hiatus is over. The game will resume in the thread titled The BortaS part 2.

Oh, BTW Jay, you can review your character sheet by clicking on the Character Details link at the top of the page under the Roleplay online logo, selecting your character name from the drop-down menu and hitting view. That's happening in the background. He's the FC Department Head for the entire Sphere mission. Currently, he's overseeing the observation mission at the Vanara village. Billy's been attached to the BortaS contact mission due to his expertise with Klingon culture and history.

The original USS Thames was a Danube class and was destroyed about six game-months ago. The Thames you're on, the USS Thames II, is an Atlantic class runabout, based on the New Atlantic class designed by Mark Rademaker.
