For anyone who may have been interested in such, Jarrun was a well-traveled boxer up until the last year.  His stage name was "The Tattoo'd Brute."

What types of venues was he well known in?  If at random ports of call...well, Edward might be familiar with him by reputation, if not sight.

Random ports.  He wasn't a big-name champion or anything in any sort of professional curcuit.  Mostly dockside matches as a means of getting some extra cash to support his travels.

Any crew member that has sailed with Nicoli has had him ask them if they have seen a woman with a firebird tattoo on her back.  If they ask why, he is more than willing to tell the story (see Nicoli's character description.)

Doesn't look like there's much here, and it's all old, but this is the thread labeled for character background hashing.  Anyway, I'll resurrect it for a bit for the following.

From the description it looks like Fiora probably practices the same fencing style as Valentino. (Vodacce rapier and dagger)  Given that it's a fairly young style, they probably studied at the same location, under the same teacher.  Namely Veronica Ambrogia, whose name Fiora adopted (with permission) after abandoning her own.

They've probably met before, since Fiora was living with Madame Ambrogia between her escape from her home and her escape from Vodacce.  Hell, they might have slept together, since Fiora was hiding in plain sight as a courtesan. (Though that would depend on how long ago it was that Valentino was there, since she wasn't of-age when Madame Ambrogia first took her in.  This being RPOL, we will politely ignore the realities of 14th century Italy.)

Yes, he trained in the Duelist Academy of Ambrogia.

He also has connections to Vodacce High Society.

I never really went into a timeline of his activities, but he acquired a ship and has spent at least a year at sea now.

However, he's only 27 years old.

Don't know how long ago Fiora was there, but that seems reasonable.

Fiora would have arrived at Ambrogia's Academy when she was ~14, and finally left the country partway through her eighteenth year, roughly a year ago.  So they probably left Vodacce within a few months of each other, and he would have still been in the country when she was old enough to be "on the menu" so to speak.

When he comes out of that back room and finds her there...  This'll be entertaining.
