Introducing 'Buster' Bone-Cracker
History

Bone Cracker was born in Southern Oregon. A gray wolf with uneven brown coloring, he learned to hunt and thrive in the wilderness, and earned his name due to his extraordinary bite. His success in tracking, hunting, and other feats was remarkable.

Near his third year, he heard the Gaia’s call. Only one day’s travel south from his birth pack’s territory he came across a couple of vagrants playing dangerously with fire. He cannot remember the details of his first awakening, but the lack of human remains suggests he managed to scare off the vagrants without killing them.

After a year, he felt the urge to travel further call southward, as a hitchhiker or sometimes just walking as a wolf, avoiding human’s boundaries thanks to Lessons™. He eventually found the Brandenburg Shelter, where he was able to sense another Garou, Raychel Wong, and is now a semi-permanent resident there. He spends his time patrolling the grounds and assisting with the care of injured animals, and performing minor rituals to honor Gaia.

Physical Description

Bone Cracker is a large mottled brown gray wolf, of approximately 55 kg, 1.6 meters in length and 0.9 meters at the shoulder.
As a human, he is a tall and athletic brown-skinned man dressed in thrift store finds.

Introducing 'Buster' Bone-Cracker
Agnes watches approvingly as Buster finishes cleaning a post surgery poodle, and puts it back in a kennel. While he washes his hands, she approaches him

Bone Cracker tilts his head towards Agnes. "Good to have a pack again. Strange pack, but good packmates."

He pauses for a moment to look at his hands. "Long time since I hunted, maybe too long?"

In reply to 'Buster' Bone-Cracker (msg # 3):

Agnes nods knowingly.

"I know what you mean, as Elliot used to say to me '[Language unknown:  enc wasno tinmenlat nt ar thace ce hunt, preho lin wheticate uttiha re hunt na aiica itli]'."

She sighs wistfully before continuing, "I'm glad you mentioned that, I actually wanted to ask you about something. How would you feel about a trip through the San Gabriel Mountains back country with Jaelyn?"

Re: Introducing 'Buster' Bone-Cracker
Suddenly there is a crash as a couple of boxes of supplies come crashing down. Jaelyn looks up sheepishly from her, now nonexistent, hiding spot and says "Did someone say my name? I wasn't trying to listen. Well I was. But well, I mean. So, did someone say my name?"

Re: Introducing 'Buster' Bone-Cracker
Bone Cracker raises an eyebrow at Jaelyn and turns to her. "Your ambush cover was not well-selected." He shakes his hands vigorously, spraying water everywhere, and turns back to Agnes. "Jaelyn is strong and...enthusiastic. You assign a task to us, by asking my feeling? You can rely on us."

Re: Introducing 'Buster' Bone-Cracker
Agnes looks down at her right hand, then brushes it on her lab coat to dry it off, and says "Great! I've received word there is a small nest of banes infesting animals near Mt Gleason. I'd like the two of look for any orphaned fera in the mountains near there, and take out the nest of banes."

Re: Introducing 'Buster' Bone-Cracker
Jaelyn gets a big grin on her face, and dashes over to Buster. She comes in low, and wrapping her arms around his torso and knees overhead presses him while saying "ADVENTURE! Fuck yeah!". She then realizes what she just did, and looks a bit sheepish as she stands holding Buster above her.

Bone Cracker is used to cubs, even ones with more years than him. He reaches down awkwardly to pat Jaelyn, and then he asks Agnes, "When should we depart?"

Re: Introducing 'Buster' Bone-Cracker
Jaelyn pulls the van into a parking lot off of Soledad Canyon Road. It is just after 4PM as you get out of the van, and you can tell the sun will be crowing over the mountains in about two hours, with sunset another hour and a half behind. A small trail leads off from the right of the trailhead (Pacific Crest Trail)and a fireroad leads off from the back of the trailhead(Indian Canyon Road).

Buster climbs down from his seat and stretches against the side of the van. He looks over at Jaelyn.
