More issues with accessing RPOL this week. strange. The last couple months have been pretty poor for me.

Please note the change to message 37 in the current thread: I changed 'south' to 'down the corridor' in the opening sentence. Directions are nearly irrelevant inside Quesqueton.

I'm back (been back for a bit, actually) so we should be back on a 'normal' posting schedule.

Happy to be back, though there's a lot to be said for relaxation...

In effort to keep things as organic as possible, I'm not going to offer advice beyond the suggestion that you make assumptions at your own peril. That doesn't mean your right or wrong, just that right can be wrong in this dungeon, and vice versa.

Furthermore, you're playing very low level, inexperienced characters who are just getting around to finding their way in the world. As such, they're not going to make the intuitive leaps you guys, as experienced players, would make.  Be careful of metagaming, because in certain parts of this adventure, it might turn out really bad for the party.

I love playing low level characters b/c they're so ignorant, and their high mortality rate makes things interesting. Have fun with your characters, work hard to keep them alive (which, to all of your credit, you have done thus far), and take what comes. And don't make assumptions!!!

(kind of like Gandalf telling Bilbo and Co. "Don't stray from the path!" before riding away from the edge of Mirkwood!)

When describing your actions, be specific. In this instance 'door' was referenced a couple times by different party members. Are you talking about the door where you ran into the hobgoblins?

Or the door sitting on the north wall of the right/left corridor?

All that to say, I'm going to assume what you meant to move things along.
