Hell no!  Cats are nothing but trouble.

I'm a dog person.
Every time I see a dead raccoon or possum in the road, I think "Man, that should have been a cat."

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!  LMAO.  Oh yes I’m right there with you Kullonar though I swerve to hit possums since they’re a nasty pest.

Ha! Well, I happen to like both cats and dogs. That said, I know that in the same way that I don't want the responsibility of children that we'd do badly with having to take care of Fido. So, we've stuck with cats. We've got two. (To defend ourselves against with their staph infected claws.)

And to compensate we're the guys who stop and say hello to every doggo we pass on the street. You might say that in the same way that we're the favorite uncles of our nieces and nephews we're very popular with several neighborhood dogs.

I went to WebMD just to scare the crap out of myself. I'm expecting gangrene any moment. Sigh.

In fairness, I love cats. Especially kittens. That said, the current mix in our household are three females, one of which is about 120 years old in cat years, another just reaching middle age and a one year old. It's not a good blend, as the oldest thinks she rules, but the other two don't give a crap what she thinks which annoys her to no end. Every chance she gets, she attacks the little one while the middle one looks on in disgust.

Ironically, it was the old one that got me. It's ironic, because I'm the one who takes the most care of her. You would've thought she would be grateful...famous last words.

Oh well, as long as I take my medicine, this, too, shall pass. I guess if I don't I, too, will pass. I'm not quite ready for that though...

Possums ain't pests!!
They are great scavengers (like vultures) and clean up a lot of other dead animals, refuse, etc. They are quite gentle and lovable.
And they love cat food!

Yes, it's true. Apparently cat food is a delicacy among 'Possum folk'. Had one of the suckers crawl up and die on my back deck not a month or so ago. Poor critter was still breathing for a minute or so. I didn't find any wounds; I'm guessing it was grabbed by a dog and shaken.

Possum's are classified as a pests in NZ.  We have no natural predators so they are in an ideal environment to thrive, just like rabbits.  They cause many millions of dollars of damage each year and the govt spends over $100 million per year dropping poison to kill them.

We had a cat for 15 long, long years and we will never have another one ever.

And to think I wanted to come visit New Zealand!

A possum's main predator in the States is an automobile.

Well, let that be a lesson to you.  We are a warrior nation and don't take kindly to soft furry animals that eat the eggs of our flightless native bird.  You should go to Aussie instead, they're a protected species there.

Well, it's 'congrats' as I'm liberated from the growing stress and anxiety the job was inspiring.

It's 'condolences', because I now lack a source of income (also known as the 'fruit of stress and anxiety') and have to go through the process of finding another source of stress and anxiety (i.e., income). I really hate this process, but I'll hopefully find some consulting projects in the short term if it takes too long to find a full-time thing.

That said, by my count, we have Myrrick, Bruno, Zan & Kullonar as PC's, Weasel and Bruknar as NPC's and, of course, Uthecar now as an NPC.

We still have the good makings of a party, and I'll play the NPCs.

If you know someone who'd like to play, however, please invite them. I much rather run an adventure with few, if any NPC's.

Oh, the Doc said that I'm good for another 100,000 miles, so I've got that going for me.
