Wanted to give you guys a heads up. I'm shifting some priorities, including time spent on RPol and I've culled two adventures from the herd. I have four active adventures as a player, 2 as dm, which I believe is manageable. Part of the culling, however is the amount of time I spend on my adventures. As such, you'll likely see a slowdown in the games I run. Instead of 2-3/week, I'll try to keep a schedule of twice per week, one midweek post and one on the weekend. Given that life's not static, that could change as circumstance allows, but that's my plan moving forward.

Frankly, I've spent too much time away from my passion, which is writing. Haven't published anything since last April...I'm ready to push forward with those projects at this point.

Just wanted to give you a friendly head's up.

I've taken on more (1 as a player, 1 as a DM) and I hope I can keep up.
The game I'm running is a 2E game on the Unseen Servant forums with a weekly to bi-weekly post; I can't manage any more than that. The game I'm playing in, however, has a 2-3x/week posting rate...we'll see how long I last. :)

I didn't start off imagining him as slightly insane, but I am starting to really get a feel for it.

You do it well - not to look too far forward, but around 4th/5th level I like to look at each character and give them certain attributes that will allow for some added fun. I call them 'God-touched' and it's worked really well in the table top game I've been part of for the last 10 years or so.

This seems a good time to break for XP totals and other sundries. Think I am going to start a new thread, as well. I'll get that done sometime early this week.

The university where I work just announced that classes will be online for the rest of the spring semester. My son's school is closed for two weeks and there's rumors that that may extend. This is all pretty crazy but I hope the social distancing works.

Same here.
And the school I work at (as well as all across NC) is closed until March 30...but I sincerely doubt we will go back before May.

Gives me plenty of time to get caught up on work, and more importantly, devote some quality time to my games!!

Ugh, my office gave me a bunch of deliverables I have to produce by the end of the work at home plus my 7 year old is home all day. I feel like I'm busier now but at least I can enjoy an afternoon work bourbon.

The one thought to tuck into the back of your brain is that your manager is likely to have lots of unfair expectations until they learn the practicalities of this long distance stuff. Deep breaths!

My manager is actually incredibly reasonable and worked with me to make sure I had reasonable goals. But the university has come in and started volunteering us for various remote tech support things and made us responsible for hosting remote classes. On top of that, my position is donor funded so I have sort of two masters.

It wouldn't be so bad if my wife wasn't also having an unreasonable load of work dumped on her as well.

We'll be fine, I just need to vent.

Hang tough, everyone. I'm inside sending a letter out to all my clients to make sure they remember to use me as a resource for their healthcare needs. Especially those who have recently come back from a cruise or other outside the US vacations.

We're all in this together (6 ft away, of course) - as the physicker once said, "This too, shall pass."

It's just going to take time to work itself out - gonna be interesting on the back end, when the heavy lifting begins.

Yeah well maybe I should have done a little more back reading to get the situation with the shield.  I'll just update that re-entrance post a little.  Same outcome, just minus the shield.
