Uthecar gives the lever a tug. As strong as he is, he realizes quickly that it'll take at least two in order to move the lever.

Bruno is as concerned about getting a fair share of the loot as the next Dwarf, erm, adventurer, but he trusts the young Human enough at this point that he just watches the exchange between him and Bruknar bemusedly. If nothing else he is curious how the kid handles himself and is interested in seeing what it reveals of Weasel's true nature. If anything...

When Uthecar's strength is not enough to move the lever he too moves forward, "Let me throw my weight in on this one, cousin."

Uthecar nods agreement and makes room for Bruno to join him pushing on the lever.

Even as strong as the two dwarves are, budging the lever is quite a difficult task. Both dwarves are struck by the fact that there doesn't seem to be anything inside the room that's attached to the lever despite the amount of strain both put into moving it.

Curiouser and curiouser.

With the door open and the room empty Bruno takes a deep breath, "Huh. I wonder either what is here that we are not supposed to see or what was here once upon a time?"

Myrrick nods, "Thought you dwarves were supposed to be stout. You need hlep from a little ol' elf like me?"

Uthecar gives Myrrick a once over glance before saying.  "We don't need your help, the lever is obviously broken." He stops straining against it, quickly losing interest.

Uthecar will close his eyes and shake his head, like he is trying to banish what is before his eyes.

Weasel comes over to inspect the lever. After a brief search, he gives the lever a quick tug, but nothing happens. It doesn't even budge an inch. However, he looks at the assembled party and says, "It's a lever. I know, duh. But what it activates isn't in this room. Kind of tells me it probably resets a door somewhere, or a passage...or a trap. It would be smart for us to take care in this part of the dungeon. I don't normally wish to stand in front of the line...but I will, if I have to, to make sure we disable whatever that lever's holding back. And time's wasting. We can't stay her all day to figure it out."

There's nothing brash about what Weasel said. You feel simply a genuine desire from him to help out.

"Weasel's right > let's get moving." Kullonar says, making his way toward the door.

Uthecar falls into line, nudging his way to the front as soon as he can.

Zan makes note of the strange circumstances of the lever "Uthecar would there be a way to lock it into it's current position since..."

Bruknar seems on board with the plan. Opening the door, he is the first one out and announces, "There is a door at the end of the corridor."

As he says as much, he hefts his weapon and begins to walk toward said door.

Bruno also joins in with the party his sword and shield ready.

gang...give me a marching order please. thx.

First with the others behind

Uthecar and Bruknar are first down to the end of the corridor. Weasel is close behind.

OOC: Really need a marching order here. How tight are you formed? Is everyone moving at the same pace. Are some of you still in the room?

OOC: Sounds like we are about to die or get blown up or be horribly mangled, so...

Kullonar follows Weasel, staying about two feet behind the wrangly rogue.

Myrrick follows his companions, helping weasel check for traps if needed.

"Stop!" Weasel said suddenly. "Wait, there's something..." he trails off for a moment then points.

"Yes, the lever in the room attaches to a counterweight that will drop a gate, entrapping those of us who are close enough to the door to be affected. I'm thinking...rather, I'm betting the door's a fake!"

Weasel seems certain of his prediction.

Bruno steps back from the lever with a questioning look replying to Weasel, "Okay...

"I guess I should thank the Soul Forger that this 'trap' is stuck, though something tells me it is just luck.

"Well caught, lad!"

Weasel's timely warning halts Uthecar and Bruknar in their tracks. Slowly the back up, until they reach the door of the room once more - Weasel stands just outside the doorway, looking very pleased with himself, especially after Bruno's congratulations.

The party is hale and whole, and ready for the next adventure - those of you who recall the map note that this is room 13 according to the key. Hopefully, the key is accurate.
