* Shawn: Dream Sequence # 1

OOC:  This is a dream. But it is not just any dream thread as before in the game. This is the beginning of a dream 'sequence' thread: a parallel, collection of lucid dream threads that are a result of some 'event' that is going on. Each dream sequence thread from now on will be marked with a  * symbol.

* Shawn: Dream Sequence # 1

Shawn came to conciousness on a the school stage, and as he did, he knew instantly that he was in a dream. It was a rare thing, to know you were dreaming, and even rarer to be able to control your movements in a dream, which Shawn could do.  He could move his arms and legs. He was also acutely aware that he could blink his eyes.

That's when he realized that he was on the stage where the school plays were performed, a place that he had been before. It was the elementary school stage, even though it didn't look like it. The stage was bigger, and the floor of the stage was a deep, burgundy red. Instead of chairs or seating where the audience was, a vast river inside the school was flowing with noticeable current. This made it appear as if Shawn was on some kind of island.

In the river, there was garbage: soda cans and styrofoam packaging from fast food restaurants. Baby diapers and syringes. Plastic-looped soda can holders, the kind that Shawn somehow knew were responsible for killing fish and seagulls.

"We're dreaming." Feddler's voice announced.

* Shawn: Dream Sequence # 1

Shawn looked around this strange, dreamlike setting, experimentally flexing his arms and legs. It was an odd experience, but not unenjoyable. But when he heard Feddler's voice, he twitched slightly. Even here, it seemed, he couldn't get away. "Yeah, I guess we are. Normally, stages aren't red all over."
