The rock fell away beneath Shawn's feet.


"Keep Climbing Shawn!" Bobby yelled as Shawns hands dug into the edge of the cliff ten feet above them. Shawn knew there was a ledge, otherwise he'd be falling, but Shawn couldn't see iit at all. If he turned his head too far, he could become unbalanced and the drop was further than Shawn could see. Already the adrenaline coursing unchecked, urging Shawn to do what I cannot. Sure his muscles were stronger and He was more awake than he'd ever been In The Underworld, but this wasn't a situation where staying put hard for a long time was going to help.

Down below, Bobby encouragement while Ralph started to climb up. Crowley was waiting at the bottom hoping the group would lower a rope down if they found one.

Shawn felt his heart pounding in his throat, refusing to look down lest he lose what little remained of his nerve. He tried to pull himself up, if not to safety, then at least somewhere more stable where he could actually get his bearings.

"Shawn, move your left foot up and to the right where your knee is right now! There's a foothold there." Bobby advised.

Shawn moved his left foot as instructed, gingerly trying to feel out a foothold. He trusted Bobby, even if that trust was the result of Shawn making him that way...

Shawn was almost there. He pushed himself up to the edge of the cliff. Now all that he needed to do was grip the edge and pull himself over. His legs were fatigued with squatting and climbing and his feet ached with each foothold he had pushed off of. But it was Shawns arms and hands that burned more than anything else. His hands were dried and cracked with the salty, red rock outcropping that lined the Underworld cliff. His arms burned with tired trembling.
