Math and Spelling should have been the topics that Shawn was focusing on. But they weren't. Instead, as Mrs. Hawkins came by to place small blue booklets on each kids' desk, the more common ruminations seemed to take hold: Fiddler and when he would next appear, the Numbers Game, Cherrywinks...all of these things.

"Shawn!?" Mrs. Hawkins said suddenly.

Shawn looked up from the blue book he was supposed to be paying attention to but was not. "Yes, Mrs. Hawkins?"

"You've got to clear all of your textbooks off the table." She said in a huffy voice, gesturing to the small pile of math and other books. Shawn had forgotten to take them off of his desk.

Shawn quickly moved to get all the books off his desk. "Sorry, Mrs. Hawkins." He blushed, looking embarrassed and appropriately contrite.

"Thank you Shawn. You're a very good listener." Mrs. Hawkins commented, placing a blue book on Shawn's desk.

"Alright everyone, this test is 45 minutes long. Please, please make sure that you are using a number 2 pencil. Not a number 3 or 1. Make sure you fill all the circles completely in the scan-tron. Any questions?"

Shawn had no questions - or at least none the teacher could answer immediately before a final exam started - so he remained quiet.

The room grew silent. Shawn felt the impeding stress of the exam pressing on the room. Kids feet were shuffling, scuffing against the ground. Pencils scratching on papers, corners of pages being folded.

Shawn looked down at the exam.

OOC: Shawn Rolls Intelligence + Study +1 (Ego Boost) with the following results (Willpower can be used)

0 Successes: F. Shawn fails the exam. Dad is furious. Bobby's fate is sealed because Dad thinks he is a distraction.

1 Success: C. Shawn passes, but Dad is disappointed. Bobby might be able to stay or not. Its clear Dad doesn't like Bobby and blames him for distracting Shawn.

2-3 Successes: A. That a boy! Dad forgets all about Bobby. The situation seems to be resolved.

Shawn wasn't sure if it was pure luck that the exam happened to cover the exact things he'd haphazardly studied, or if he was smarter than he'd previously thought (probably the former), but he seemed to know all of the answers.

OOC: 23:29, Today: Shawn Cramer rolled 3 successes using 6d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s with rolls of 8,6,3,7,8,9. Intelligence + Study +1 (Ego Boost) + WP.

"Time!" Mrs. Hawkins said.
