On the strategy front, I say now's the time to deplete whatever magic stuff we have left!!!

Potion of Giant Strength is now in use, so that's good. Does someone (Aldara?) have a wand of magic missile? If so, now might be the time to start burning up whatever charges we have left on that.

Sarah: Yes, you may attempt to initiate a backstab attack. Go ahead and make a move silently check to see whether you can get the attack off in the heat of battle.

You may attack regardless, but with a successful move silently, it will be considered a backstab/sneak attack.

So what damage does the flaming portion of Taerix' sword do?

edit:  Looked up my own answer.

Sword +1, Flame Tongue: This sword is +2 against monsters
that regenerate, +3 against avian monsters or monsters that
have a cold-based attack, or are immune to fire, and this
sword is +4 against all undead. When the wielder utters a
command, the sword becomes engulfed in flame. The flames
provide the same amount of light.

Taerix here, on a borrowed PC. My modem gave up the ghost yesterday, and it will be at least a week, and maybe a bit longer, before I can get a new one. Please NPC Taerix as needed. Right in the middle of the big battle, too! (Great timing.) Give 'em what for, you guys!  :^)

I know I've only been playing on rpol for about 7 years, so I am fairly new, but why am I the only one who double clutches on the dice roller?!?!?!? Has this (rolling twice for the same thing) ever happened to anyone but me?

Sure, I suppose the fact that I actually hit AC0 (finally) may have made my index finger a little twitchy when rolling damage (hit the ok button twice?), but it's kind of embarrassing!

As always (and conveniently for me, this time), I'll go with the first roll, not the second one. Hopefully my track record from past double-clutches has established this as my method, for better or worse.

I presume that downing the potion is my action for this round, so no charging back into the fight until next round.

Is it possible for Valthur to make a ranged attack next round (either crossbow or hand axe)? Not sure how crowded it is around the wyrmlord... I'd hate to hit Taerix by accident.

...or Vaxfar, I suppose... but it's mainly Taerix I'm worried about because he's not an elf ;)
