"This one kept me alive in Mechis. I didn't get a bad vibe from it. And for now, it's one of a few slim leads we have. Y'all can hitch a ride in the Falcon. We'll do a fly over with the droids and at least check the planet out. I don't wanna come all this way out here only to have to pack up and leave without exhausting options and ideas"

Vyctor nods and gets on his strange vehicle to head back to the ships.  Irin follows suit.

Once back at the ships, the droids are given directions to watch the starfighters while the humans all pile on to the Falcon.  Fifteen minutes later, the old freighter is entering the planet's atmosphere.

Irin reports that scanners are scrambled horrendously by the crystals growing all over the place.  Most are pink, but there are a scattering of other colors as well: green, blue, yellow, and even some that run the gamut from opaque black to clear white.  She also reports that she is picking up multiple life signs, but the crystals are creating echoes making the number impossible to determine.  Could be ten could be ten thousand.

She does report that they are relatively close, within a hundred klicks give or take.

The ship comes around a formation to a relatively open area.  Crystals rise up at various angles, many crossing back and forth over, around, and through one another.  To the north, these crystals are large and grow densely.  They form a kind of cave, almost a fortress.

"There.  The life signs are coming from in there very strongly."

Vyctor raises a brow.  "I had no vision.  Do I get to stay?"  He grins, disarming the sting his words may carry.  His doubt about all this vision stuff is written plainly on his face.

The four explorers head cautiously into the cave.  Light reflects continuously from the outside so that - while not blinding - the whole cavern is lit enough to see in without help.   The ground itself seems made of crystals crushed to find powder like sand.

"Careful not to stir this up," Vyctor comments wryly.  "It'll be a pain to get it out."  His voice echoes oddly in the cavern, and there is a low pitched hum as his voice causes the crystals to resonant several seconds after he stops speaking.  His eyes go wide and he clamps his lips shut from that point on.

There are many hidey-holes, offshoot tunnels, and formations to hide behind, but the main path is clear.  It meanders back and forth around larger formations but generally heads east.

"Captain," Irin whispers.  "According to this, we are surrounded."

As she speaks, the group rounds the last formation to come upon a huge amphitheater in the ground.  There are waves of crystal that create upper, mid, and lower sections for spectators to stand.  In the center of the floor at the bottom, there is a crystal altar up on a wide, flat stage.

"No, the crystals are sending echoes back.  The signal can't leave the cave.  I'm not picking up the Falcon or anything beyond the entrance.  Whatever it's picking up is in here."  She shows the men her sensor pad.

Irin shakes her head, her eyes wide.  "No.  We're human."  She shows the readings to Tump.  The life signs are just as complex as the four human ones on the screen, but vastly different.  There are over a hundred within the amphitheater alone.

These seem to be a mixture of carbon and silicon-based in their DNA.

From out behind a crystal on the other side of the altar, a strange, humanoid creature steps forward.  It is dressed in rags and stands at around a meter and a half, maybe a couple of centimeters more.  It has bluish-green skin and large red eyes.  It's face is long and noseless, nor does it seem to have ears or hair.  "Is jy die stergode? Is jy hier om ons dood te maak?"

It looks over at Irin and tilts it's head.  "Is jy jedha-i?"

Django makes sure to give the impression his hands are open palmed and non-threatening.  "Not sure what your sayin' there chief. Got a translator?". He does his best to keep a cool and even expression, but seeing a being this oddball compared to that of the humans he's used to seeing has his mind reeling.
