Danny arrived at his dorm at 9:09 am, let himself in, then closed and locked the door.

He started rummaging for something to do in his stuff.


He was gonna re-read some comic books, but then wondered what games were on his TV


After turning on the TV, then the attached system, he searches Entertainment, narrows the search down to Games, and sees there are very few, he explores the console for another 5 minutes.

After that time has passed, he finds out he can download stuff from the E-Store, he quickly starts downloading a large game from Intense: MMORPG: Fantasy: Questing, that will take a few hours to finish Installation. Danny continues by getting some games under Casual: Time Waster, and after 3 minutes starts up the first one.

"Oooh, Jello Fighters XD, sounds gooood."

Danny sets an alarm for 9:55 am, and starts playing video games around 9:20 am.

It wasnt until 11 am Danny realised his alarm had failed to ring, probably due to a system glitch on behalf of Marco Polo (the main server for all games on the console)


To be exact, it was 11:04 am.

Once he realised this, he checked the clock on his wall for verification. He had not yet set it, so he checked the consoles clock... It said 11:04 am


Danny was unbelievably shocked, he suddenly was filled with dread, and anger.


It was rare for Danny to get angry, but he was changing in this new environment.

"Godammit." he said restrainingly.

Before he let out a string of very, very, rude curse words.

Quite a few he hadnt said in years.


"My first job in a hundred years, and I fail, what the hell AM I good for?"


he swore some more, enraged at everything.

He finished what he was playing (which had just been the same Jello Fighters XD (he had played the first 4 level packs out of 12, flawlessly, and gotten 100 trophies in each. He also had unlocked all the Common Characters, and found 3/4 secrets.))


He tidied up his room, at this time it was 11:11 am, he was so angry, he wanted to hit something.

He calmed himself down as he closed the door, leaving his room.

He headed towards the rec dec, still fuming how he had played vidoe games for 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Danny arrives at 11:24 am and begins planning the functions of his new management job, and what he is going to do.

After 30 minutes Danny wrote up 5 or 6 diagrams explaining all there was to know about his new building.

Basically, he was opening up the third floor, which would be the classy restaraunt

He would try and make room for a dozen people, give or take a few.

It would be open from 6-10, dinner, and late night styled themes.


He would talk to Mikoto about when she would perform,

and althouhg Danny was pretty good with interior design, he was a bit meak about sharing his taste, mostly cause he knew lots of people would call him fruity or something.. Possibly gay.

It would be open most days, and it would be a nice place to hang out.

To be honest, he wasnt sure what he would serve , he figured if he could top the Barracks, it would be considered Fancy, even though it would be more than well presented sandwiches, pasta, and the like.


He knew it would be mostly him running the place, and didnt plan to get much help, so the food would be slow coming, and you'd have to figure out everythng yourself. Danny was a people person, and good enough cook , he also knew how to make drinks. Though he had all the qualtiies, he knew he wouldnt have enough time to do everything. He figured Mikoto could help him, maybe some other newly awoken civilians might pitch in.

Overall, he would figure it out.


Once he finished it was 12:22, and he sat down to play some more Jello Fighters, which he had become addicted too.

It was a genre of game most peole called "OldPlay" because it didnt use VR, rather just basic controllers, which he had packed in his luggage.

He played that game until 2:51 and then got off and went to talk to Mikoto about her job.

Danny arrived at 3:31 pm, and started looking for his DataPad, it must have been with his stuff, and he lost it when he unpacked... He opeed it, and tried to find a way to download pictures, of the rest of the remaining people on his list ( Mike Schmidt, Richard Thornby, Stephen Cornell, Hans Fischer), he felt like a door-to-door salesman... if this failed, or took too long he asks Marco to download them for him.

Danny quickly finds the social media files of all the crew he is looking for starting with Micaela Nieves. She is still in cargo bay 4.
Rick Thornby has just left his cryo pod and is on his way to decontamination, Hans Fischer is in medical, and Stephen Cornell in engineering. Mike Schmidt is at the cap;tainś quarters.

Danny, finished with the job, feels a bit creepy... whatever, I guess that's the internet for you...

He wrote down all the information he had gathered relating to the "mission" as he might call it, and went to go find Micaela Nieves, purely because she was the next in order on the list VanderBeek had given him...

It was now 3:38

It was 5:36 , and Danny was happy to be back somewhere comfortable..

He took a nap for a while, and then proceeded to play video games.

The door to Danny's appartment buzzes.

Woah. That scared him. Danny had been playing this game for how long? Jesus, that was long.

He set aside the game, and opened the door, greeting the man with a smile and a "Hi there!"

"Hi, Danny Chambers right?" Eric extends his hand in greeting. "CMO VanderBeek told me to look you up. He said you were putting a team together to open up a joint on the rec deck. Still need help?"

Danny smiled widely, "Absolutely! We need as much staff as we can get!" he replied, shaking his hand.

"Excellent. So what do you need, and when do I begin?"

Still smiling, Danny answered Eric "Mostly kitchen help, waiters and waitresses, someone who knows how to handle money, basically first-job stuff"

He tried to buffer his excited speech with a contemplating look, mostly succeeding, he continued his reply, "As for when to start, any day now, probably!" he finished gleefully.

"Sounds good enough to me. Used to work mostly as a janitor in highschools, but I learn quickly. What kind of restaurant are you planning to run?"

Danny's answer was interrupted by the intercom, he made a soft sound of excitement, and then continued with his answer, "Whatever decent food we can make is what we will serve, it will probably start small, maybe a few hours every few days, where we serve food, and just provide a nice stay for our clients. I was hoping to have our on-board popstar perform,
 but she is... difficult, to say the least."

"We have a pop star?" Eric whistles. "Anyone I know?"

Danny laughed at Erics surprised, in a good-humored way, not in a malicious way.

"Yes, she is japanese... Fancies herself a princess" Danny said, not too rudely, but still uncharacteristically of himself., "Her name is Mikoto Mishida" Danny said, "but Im probably butchering it" he acknowledged

"Nope, don't ring no bells," Eric joined in, laughing. "I assume she's not into country music. Or at least none that I consider good, or I would know the name."

"Heh. I was always into that newfangled Electronic Dance stuff" Danny said jokingly, but honestly, "Though all music has it's charm" he admitted.

"Seriously?" Whitechapel shook his head.
"Never been able to listen to that heavy metal junk. Gives me headaches. I hope we won't be playing that."

Danny shrugged, "We don't have to, it doesn't matter much what we play. Probably take feedback the clients, if they want a song played, put it on"

"I'll see you there what, 0700 tomorrow then?" Eric inquires. "I'm going for some food now."

Danny wanted to be agreeable, but did not want go get up early without needing too, he decided to just be agreeable. "That's fine!" he said, cheering up by force of habit, "Might I come with you? I.. uh... haven't eaten for a while" he said, trying not to sound clingy.

(flexed)

"Sure," Eric nods, "Always better to have company while eating. It improves the appetite."
