Slowly, rubbing the long sleep and the weariness from his eyes, Troy Patterson sits up in his cryo pod.

He blinks his eyes as he tries to readjust to having then open and used to the lighting within the chamber. But it's not his sight that causes him to wonder, it's his hearing. The sound of nothing at all causes Troy to look around the chamber to try an assess his situation.

Surely if he was woken up, more would have been woken up with him.  But the pods he saw around him were still locked with their occupants still asleep. He wouldn't get his answers here, he would need to move around and figure out what was going on.

Troy moves slowly, trying not to tax his freshly woken body too much. His left foot felt numb and his hands trembled, but he remembered from the briefing that there would be temporary side effects from the cryo sleep.

He kneels down and unlocks his storage box to grab his plain grey jump suit. He struggled to put it on and zip it up as his hands wouldn't stop trembling. He opts to leave it unzipped as he makes his way to the decontamination showers.

Greetings mr. Troy Patterson and Blake Germaine. Welcome aboard. Normal procedures would require you both to head to the decontaminating showers now.

The mechanical voice sounds slow... a bit off its normal pitch and resonance.

However, since I have suffered a technical... malfunction, the doors to the shower area refuse to acknowledge your wrist chips. As such, it will not open. Acting captain Jennifer Maxwell, GNA Security Forces, has asked me to direct everyone towards the bridge at once. Everyone being just you, as my systems also refuse to awaken the correct staff.

Time of day is now 0715, 17-2-2187

Both men now notice each other, three rows apart, both waking up from their long slumber.

Mr. Germaine, to answer your question. No, the engines are fine, running at optimal speed. However, my systems have malfunctioned in waking you up. I intended to wake the Captain and Major Ascott, but it seems those pods refuse to acknowledge my commands.

"Hi, I think we'd better head to the bridge. If there's a problem with Marco, who knows what other systems have been affected."

"My name's Blake, by the way, I'm a systems programmer."

I head over to the bridge, arriving around five minutes behind Jenifer.

 The  fellow  pushes  the lid the rest of the way up, his  forehead, wrinkled in annoyance . As his  sense  come back, his eyes  begin to shift, trying to focus   on objects near and far...They told me i would hate this....

 swinging  his legs slowly, yet with purpose ,to text the  muscle memory. He slips   out of the  Pod to  get the Jumpsuit, and step into it.

 Looking around as his  eyes  try to focus,...HELLO?..how many other popsicles  are thawed out?...

 Zipping up the jumpsuit  and attaching his  footwear, he uses that as a reason  to test his  Knees and Hips.

In reply to Blake Germaine (msg # 13):

"Lance Corporal Patterson," Troy introduces himself, "Marine Corpsman."

Troy turns his head towards the sound of another voice somewhere in the pod bay.

"I'm going to check out the new arrival. Let the captain know we will be there soon," he says to Blake as the man leaves.

Troy makes his way towards the voice, his eyes still not having fully adjusted yet, he feels his way through the bay.

Troy calls out to the other person, "Three so far. One is already on the bridge. Another is heading that way. Are you OK? do you need assistance?"

  He  shields His  eyes and says,..Marco?  can you  light up the  are towards the  access  doors?

  Hearing the   other Voice , he  semi-calls out,..I'm ok so far Mate?  Keep talkin' and  I'' try ta find ya?

 There is a brief  chuckle,..can see the close up stuff , right enough.. things  further away are a bit Blurry....don't  think this  is worth the extra  pay....

 Trying to Focus on the  fellow coming towards him,..Name's Shadow...LT Kray   Shadow..Late of The Royal  Aussie Navy..RAN...Course they attached me to the Royal Marines, don't ya know... There's a Major Ascott I fly fighters...which...reminds me?...

 ..Marco?... how's me baby?...when can i be takin' a look at her?.

 He  keeps trying to make his way to  fellow  talking.

After checking the passengerlist and cryo files no records of any baby you have fathered can be found. However, my systems are malfunctioning at the moment. Would you like me to repeat the search?

  There is a bit of a chuckle,...sorry Marco, Sometimes i call me fighter that...so? I'm guessing i need to know  where the Hanger   is, so i can check on her?

 he Finds the Arrows  as  his eyes begin to focus, he can see a fellow  pretty close.

Troy approaches the man he'd been speaking with, starting to see the man as more than just a blurry shadow, he pauses and stands at attention giving the LT as crisp a salute he can manage with his shaky hand. At least his foot wasn't numb anymore.

"Lance Corporal Patterson, sir," he formally introduces himself. It may have been early for formalities, but he was awake, therefore on duty, and the man was a ranking officer.

As his mind began the journey to full functionality he ran through a few simple equations to warm up. This moment was suppose to be exciting, but his stomach just didn't agree.

He took another long moment to let his eyes adjust and looked around the room.

   There is an Easy salute, his  eyes  focusing a bit more now, Training?..who knows?,Relax, Lance Corporal..Patterson. We ain't  on parade, and  i don't see any heavier brass then mine  around... Besides. we got ta get  enough  of ourselves together to get to  the Bridge..then I have ta find out  where my  Shelia is sleepin'

"Yes, sir," Troy responds as he stands at ease. He noticed the lights leading down the chamber.

"Let's move out then and see if we can figure out why we were woken up 150 years late," there was a bit of trepidation in his voice when he spoke of theiron current time and date.

  ..Bloody 'ell ..150 years? There  ain't no one back 'ome lookin' fer us then. There wasn't much of the Bleedin' place left...when we left!

  the two walk,..where ya from then? I'm from  Geelong... close ta Melbourne...Me Dad wanted a sailor in the family, so's I went up and Joined , found out  ya can get some help if ya didn't mind  flying aircraft?..So here I am..RAN Pilot.... not a drop of  water in bloody sight..

Tyler keeps walking with Kray, "Not sure what the situation is. Marco let me know the date when I woke up. I suppose the captain might know more."

Tyler was trying to figure out why they were 150 years over due in his own head and could not come up with a logical answer.

"Vancouver, Canada. Was part of of the Canadian Forces. Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, then I was assigned to this mission. No family back home to speak of, so I guess it made sense to assign me here. No ties to bind me."

Tyler pressed the button and waited for the lift.

   Kray ran a Hand through his dark hair and shrugged,..Had a Mum... Girl too?.. But i told her to find a better bloke? Was gonna play the  the Goolong Cats in the AFl..been damn nice  ta do that...can handle the  bloody ball rather  well..

 then he thought of something as  the  doors were opening,..Marco?.. can you  get me  the  outcomes of the last 150 years in the AFL?

Someone clearly has taken the turbolift out of turbolift, the device seeking calling its way down. As it arrived, the doors slide open partially, before resting half opened. Lights in the lift then fade to darkness...

Stephen tested his legs, then stood and got dressed as he listened to the others talk. Could that be right? Not just over due but lost as far as earth would have been concerned. He felt another clenching of his stomach and tried to wave it off as after-effects of cryo and not fear and grief.

He started walking toward the lift where two were waiting for it. He'd go down to engineering, that would be good. If it really had been so long, the equipment needed checking, certainly. Ugh, the engines, the ships ventilation and filtration system should have kept the dust and buildup to a minimum, but he would be busy the next few days making sure everything was in running order. Not to mention checking on his own special equipment. And were they near a planet? If not, what did the rations look like? He needed to get to engineering.

His eyebrow rose as he watched the turbolift.

"Gentlemen? Stephen Cornell, maybe I should take a look at it before we try using it?"

  The green eyed  dark haired fellow with a half smile says, Kray Shadow...LT and Pilot... G-day.   This Bloke  here is  Lance Corp, Patterson...  the  fleea  who woke up  with him already went ta the  Bridge.... we're supposed to 'urry up and join the folks up there. According to  Marco.

  Meself? I wanna go now and see my  fighter..I'm thinkin' she's Missing me  about now...

The hairs on his forearms rose when Marco came out and said he was losing power. This wasn't good at all.  On a positive note, his hands had finally stopped trembling.

He composes himself before asking Marco, "Ok, so what's causing the power loss and how can we get there to fix it without using the lift system?"

  Shadow looked around  , from where they stood...there has ta be a bloody terminal aroudnhere?  some one had ta have a desk in here? Maybe  we can find it...pull up maps?

 Then he  asks Marco, Hey?  Marco.... can we get some cross talk between us  and those that are on the Bridge?..or  Maybe ya can let them  know there  aree three of us walkin' about down here?

Power loss... Caused... By fusion batteries running... Out... Troy.

Batteries... Should be replaced... Every hundred... Years...
