The players got together and made a few of their own; I think one is probably in the first ooc thread in the comments section. I just want it to be neat and orderly so I can find stuff and you don't accidentally miss a bonus or some XP you could have spent.

Nope, they are mission rewards for surviving the gene-vat cavern mission. As new missions come and go, more rewards will be handed out.

I'm less concerned about the xp aspect since any increases to them won't be seen in the actual game unless/until a primary goes under or if it specifically alters their ability to take damage or carry things.

Good to know that we get to pick for both though :)

You can always just stand around and say "no thanks". Then they will 'find' another parasite on you and try to determine what part of your brain is making you decline such wondrous upgrades to your poor, weak, fleshy shell. ;)

But seriously, you can indeed decline the upgrades. It doesn't give you anything to replace it, but it may make them suspicious of you in the future. Fortunately, the Inquisition is more of a concern, what with their Naughty List putting the Adeptus high up near the top [and this fleet in particular], so you're a relatively small and boring fish right now.

OOCly, I would love the get some chrome, but I'm having a hard time figuring out why my twins would take implants if they didn't NEED them

They'd be a lot happier with that 20-clip Cadian-pattern grenade launcher ;P

Did both of you take hits in the last encounter?  I would think anything that lessens the possibility of letting creepy crawlies get under your skin would be reason enough for subskin armor.

Simply put, battlefield survivallongevity = need

Or, you could just ask for Astartes-class power armor.  I;m sure we have a few lying around.

Im not sure if anyone pointed this out yet, but the regiment as created isnt valid. There's one more doctrine than can be taken. The Regiment type counts as a doctrine, which means one too many is taken from the Training and Equipment doctrines.

By raw you are correct.

That said this unit isn't normal and AC allowed a bending of that rule to make the Regiment.  The general feel at the beginning was to make it something a bit...more...than your standard IG unit.  While the errata didn't change those rules when Drawbacks rolled out more than one person has interpreted it as opening up an additional doctrine.

Otherwise you get things like cybernetic synskin wearing troopers all driving individual Sentinels.  Or Baneblade driving chem-warriors with a backup Chimera carrying extra drums of Frenzon...

One more possibility that could be of particular use for dealing with Tyranids: the respiratory filter implant allows us to ignore atmospheric contaminants.  I imagine the air in a Tyranid hive could be pretty foul.

Question for AC: does the AP bonus for the bionic heart stack with subskin armor?

Under Subskin Armor:

"The bonus is added to any other Armor Points for these locations."

I think it is assumed the +1 AP for the bionic heart is the protection around itself, which translates to an ability to withstand shock, trauma, and piercing. So, yes, it makes sense.

Cool.  The counter opinion is under the Bionic Heart entry, where it states, "this bonus stacks with any armour worn" (emphasis mine), but I'll gladly accept any GM interpretation that gives us an edge :)
