GSN 1801041055:
What is Target's being made clear Biggs tags the hybrid with a Detonator in order to make sure that he couldn't escape his allies fire.

If you mean to say that you want to target/shoot the wounded hybrid that's holding the detonator device, you go first in the round, so you can do that before Two-bit closes to melee, if you want.

That's what i meant. I was in the middle of a pathfinder game and tried to use text to speech to post. It didn't go well. Editing and rolling now.

Re: Rear Echelon Comments & Complaints [OOC]

The Lictor doesn't provide a Size modifier when shooting at it, does it? I know the Lictor in the DoW 2 video is fuckhueg compared to the Blood Raven marine.

EDIT: The Lictor in the DW book is also Hulking (I know you don't use those entries per se, but even if drawn from as inspiration, a Lictor is pretty Throne-damn big compared to the average joe human)

I'll let you decide if you want your overheating gun to do d3-1 or d5-2 percentages of damage to the altar area from overheating.

d3-1, please.

Re: Rear Echelon Comments & Complaints [OOC]

You're right, these xenos are normally 8-9 feet tall and wide even without counting their large forearms; this lichtor is a smaller variant, remember. Maybe 6-7 feet tall if it were to stand upright. Modified to be able to hide in places a normal human can go, and wouldn't expect to find it.

Re: Rear Echelon Comments & Complaints [OOC]

If I'm reading the rules correctly, the blind condition on the hybrid doesn't give me a bonus to-hit, but it does suffer a -30 on its own WS tests.  A bit of a pity since I might have been able to do more damage otherwise, but I suppose I have a track record of dealing 9 damage a round to keep up.

Re-reading some of the earlier posts, looks like these guys have somewhere in the mid-tens wounds.

Re: Rear Echelon Comments & Complaints [OOC]

The blind condition also means that unless it has some other (heightened) senses on which it can rely, it also suffers a penalty to dodge rolls if it only has normal hearing, smell, and touch. So it is BS 0, WS -30, and Dodge -20.

I was worried that Biggs' autocannon shot would be a miss, because of the -20 for firing into melee, since I said that the lichtor is engaged with the Sgt & officer...but he goes first in the round *and* I notice I haven't made actual combat rolls for either side in that melee, so it is the same as moving to within Pb range for anyone else: you get the shot unengaged, and if it isn't dropped then you are considered 'in melee'. So I guess he's a very lucky guy and I have to make a dodge roll for the lichtor or be splattered.

Ramirez, remind me again where you get the ability to do Fatigue Damage with your lasgun? I can't imagine that you'd be able to make a Carnifex pass out with one good shot, so I'm thinking there might be something screwy in the wording of the Talent.

Ah...ok. That would be a funny result, then, if you get it against a lumbering behemoth I suppose. :P

Carni nutshot FTW!

Yeah, the ranged guys have 10-12 and the melee hybrids have 12-14. Ranged or Melee 1 or 2 armor to all locations and 3 or 4 TB. So you've probably just killed this one with a second hit like that.

Niner has also left the game, being unable to make even one post per week with the recent move across the country, and stuff. I've turned on the red light and updated the PW thread so we will see what the next crop brings in.

Biggs, congrats on making it through your 90 day boot camp. :)

My post forthcoming in about 2 hours.

Re: Rear Echelon Comments & Complaints [OOC]

Not that I think anyone will ask but you forgot to add Missionary and Stormtrooper to the list of things still not allowed as Support Specialists (along with Commissar, Tech-Priest and Psyker) when you made your recent re-pop post on Players Wanted.  Unless they are fair game now too with the Ogryn and Ratling comrades for the new peeps...

...and of course congrats on surviving this long Biggs :)

EDIT:

Boss...being comms gear is it fair to say that there would be a suitable port for my MIU to link with to aid in the setup?

Re: Rear Echelon Comments & Complaints [OOC]

Right, Zilch; no on the non-guardsman troopers so far. But there's a twist coming in your character builds/loadout that I think you may find useful and appealing.

Yes and Yes [to both of you, about the Tech stuff]. It is an advanced satellite relay, with a twist: it also has a multi-frequency/spectrum data sponge that is going to search a certain radius around your location for a specific signal. Your 12 DoS will include setup and correct deployment/calibration.

Then the wait.

Then someone has to make a single roll - probably during combat - to give that info to your command ship.

Then either survive or escape. Probably the second one.

I expect it will take about two months of real time to accomplish all this, maybe a bit less.

Edit: also, we have our first new blood.

Re: Rear Echelon Comments & Complaints [OOC]

Here's a brain teaser for people to think about (mostly Zakurians)...

How do you take Reckoning's kit and combine it with the explosives mounted on the large doors and turn it into a number of Claymore-like directed mines to spray an area?

Also...

08:47, Today: Secret Roll: GSN 1610311843 rolled 10 -- 7 degrees of success using the Only War system with a target number of 70 with rolls of 10.  Tech-Use Roll 2 Base 50 + MIU 10 + Jury-Rig 10.

08:46, Today: Secret Roll: GSN 1610311843 rolled 26 -- 5 degrees of success using the Only War system with a target number of 70 with rolls of 26.  Tech-Use Roll 1 Base 50 + MIU 10 + Jury-Rig 10.

12 DoS made...

Wowza, lol.

So you'll have it all set up in the base time of 600 seconds, divided by 6. So 1:40. That's pretty damned impressive! Must be all the energy you saved by making Everest carry the crates. Lol

I didn't want to roll a third one that could take away but if you wanted the full three rolls to see if he did it faster or slower I can.

Yeah Zilch has to pull his weight this way since he's only mediocre when it comes to killing bad guys. :)
